Just watched it. Looks a gazillion times better this way compared to shaky hand held recordings, (despite the, at times, silly patronizing commenting).
The combat looked great to me; every class looks to be very dinstinct in abilities, effects and animations, only that 'pull giant metal cilinder out of ground and toss it to enemy' ability still looks a little odd.
Really looked amazing. I'm very impressed with how the graphics and the animations have progressed over the months. With the flood of information that has been coming out as of late, I am very optimistic about what the game is capable of.
After watching this, I don't feel like getting this game anymore >.< Seeing the two action bars, and healer having to watch for the health is just turning me off. However, I am a huge fan of story... so who knows
Great video. Alot better then the other one. Really looking forward to this game more and more. Wish they would give us a release date. Hoping its not November. Not sure if I can wait that long. Thanks for the great video.
DCUO wins in my mind when it comes to fun combat. Everything else is alright.
I can't argue with that, but on pure combat alone there are few mmo's which have the that level of fluid fun. But then that is all of the game pretty much.

Well, don't play as primary healer. You'll see the consular wasn’t the primary healer in this case, and played more of the DPS role.
Also i fail to see were the game is static. Some people are learning to play the game, others are having trouble with no auto-attack or the quantity of skills. The developer walkthroug is really good imo and don't forget they are trying to show you the action like "camera mens".
While i will agree that most people probably didn't know the class and were just getting their first hands on. Thats still pretty good that basically everyone failed at the 40% mark.
Shows a lot for difficulty. Especially when they said it was altered so everyone wouldn't wipe. (sounds like the difficulty was reduced). Making it sound nothing like easy. At least to me anyway.
Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.
Is ToR going to be good? Dude it's Bioware making a freaking star wars game, all signs point to awesome. -G4tv MMo report.
I hope this walkthrough is not the key feature of Bioware's presence at PAX - and that they have something bigger to show us, ideally some indication of launch date.
They already showed some stuff. Dev walkthrough, tatooine and hoth videos showing how huge the worlds are, space combat demo and the galaxy map... and theres probably more tomorrow or even today.
Also we will have tons of footage by the end of the event. Yesterday they said the release date it's still 2011, so don't get your hopes up for a release date at PAX.

i am going to enjoy the challenge this game has to offer for years to come, it looks really nice and fluid. there are a few things they need to patch up, but it looks like it wouldnt take long and again i dont think people realize just how massive this game is.
I hope this walkthrough is not the key feature of Bioware's presence at PAX - and that they have something bigger to show us, ideally some indication of launch date.
They already mentioned that there would be no statement made about the launch date. If you're not happy with the PAX trailer, the Taral V dev walkthrough, the Hoth and Tatooine overviews all in this week and added to that the many gameplay videos from the PAX, well, that's your loss
I guess there's no satisfying everyone, especially if some people essentially dislike a game of which the footage is about.

Release date. Yeah, I'm going there. Our release date window is now as it was about a month ago - 2011. It has not changed since that post.
Yes, we are saying 'after March 31st', but that is only a relevant date because it marks the end of EA's fiscal year. It is not a clever code or cunning ruse. It's just a statement of fact (and a statement made, I should point out, primarily to the financial press, who like to confuse us with talk of 'fiscal years').
The community's anticipation about a potential release date being announced at PAX East was understandable, but I'd like to remind you we never suggested or promised anything. To lay rumors to rest (and to dash a few hopes) I'll tell you now that we won't be announcing any change to our release window during the show. It remains, simply, 2011 (or if you prefer "When it's done").
BioWare remains committed to delivering an amazing quality game with a service level to match. We won't be rushed. You'll find the game worth the wait, and I hope those of you who are playing the game at PAX or watching videos of gameplay from there will agree.
Further speculation on a release date, at this point, is kind of redundant. We'll keep the current release date speculation thread open, but continuous discussion of release date in PAX East threads should be avoided, please. Let's talk about, you know, the show.

Yeah, I don't think this game is gonna be as easy as people think it will be. Knowing BioWare they will also throw puzzles and time based quests into the mix.
It may be easy if you use a player made walk through cheat, but I imagine some may even have differing solutions that are picked randomly. Compound that with some crazy ass uber spawn that pops up on you while trying to complete it (and causes you to start over), along with no ability to set the game from hard-medium-easy... you can just imagine the moaning about difficulty. I can already hear it now, "it looked easy in that BioWare flashpoint demo".
After watching this, I don't feel like getting this game anymore >.< Seeing the two action bars, and healer having to watch for the health is just turning me off. However, I am a huge fan of story... so who knows
I'm not sure I understand your comment. What game with healers doesn't require the healer to watch health? Maybe I just don't understand what you mean.
After watching this I'm even more excited about this game than I was before.... if that's possible lol. All in all though, it does show a very fluid combat system imo. All of the fights were just very smooth, and I liked how long that fight was with Ripper. I'm still torn between Smuggler and Consular as my first class, and me loving Heal roles so much, it's definitely a much harder choice after watching this.
All I can say is that this is impressive; and only three friends required to have a whole lot of fun.
This game is really going to be about enjoyment ; if they can kill the rat race element a great community may develop who are interested in the game and not just one stop poxy guilds/orgs.

Impressively polished and cinematic game, but I can't help but feel that the trinity doesn't belong in a scifi game and especially Star Wars. I constantly kept thinking how tanking and healing looked ridiculous. Movement and twitch based combat would fit so much better. Nothing looks more stupid than a guy standing there shooting a creature with his gun at point blank range while being pounded.

That was a great video
I thought it was odd the smuggler was healing while the consular did damage lol
(Seriously in awe they haven't told us a release date yet)

What a difference watching someone who knows what a mouse is makes, in comparison to the PAX gameplay of this flashpoint it's like a different game.

Wau, what a boring combat everything looks so static and slow..... a Jedi Knight armor looks abysmal
