Im looking for a good game to play that doesnt require a lot graphically. I want a game that is female friendly and has a fun crafting system. Any suggestions?
Rift does indeed scale well, I am playing on my desktop which is pretty nice but my girlfriend is able to play on her laptop and the game still looks/runs well. Really is a fun game and we are enjoying it together. She is happy with the character customization and armor looks and the crafting is decent, the items you make are actually useful! If you two end up checking it out maybe we could group up sometime!

Lord of the Rings?
It has different things other than killing, housing, fishing, outfit system with an update coming to that outfit system, story, interesting characters, er etc.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
Second life, or Hello Kitteh~! lol. What does your GF likes? Hard to recommend since there so little info.
Rule of thumb, girls + MMO wont hold hand in hand (most of the time). And a fun crafting system? I do find FF14 a bit fun (crafting system), but i do bet you wont find it as such.
I enjoyed a lot Lord of the Rings online. Was my first game, and I started with my husband.
Is very nice to grow up toghether, crafting is quite funny (scholar is my advice) , and if you choose complementary class all run smooth.
Also Guild War is funny to play, maybe now a bit old for some things, but is a good start.
One year ago I'd say also Aion, for the extreme beauty of landscapes and characters, but is too frustrating.
Depends a lot on her experience, anyway. Did she ever played? She likes better bow or laser rifle? She has a pvp soul or likes only epic battles against huge bosses?
I suggest you try toghether some games to choose what you like best to play toghether.
Oh, and a very important thing: play with her, and let her grow as a player encouraging her skills. Get in a guild, show the social part of games.
Playing toghether is great
And yes, Jamin, I'm a girl (erm..ok an old one) and I'm crazy for MMO, subscribing to all beta coming up , and I know a lot of girls playing MMO, officers in guilds and very good players.

Her two favorite games are zelda and diablo. She's never played an MMO.
I know girls like very colorful game where in they can customize their chracter.. one of the game that my girlfriend try to paly is Perfect World. She really like customization something like that...

What exactly do you mean by female friendly? Are you suggesting it needs to be simplistic and easy or something?

I just dont want it to be crude or overly violent.

give a try on wow

I would suggest, Aion, Lord of the rings, Perfect World and Forsaken World. Colorful characters with easy to learn UI. Thats just my opinion.
LOTRO
Met a lot more girls playing that game than any others I've ever played.
