I never got around to it. I lost interest after they announced their incredible lame bussiness model. It pulled a Hellgate London, just like I predicted. I don't like it when my doomsday prophercies are true:(

I wonder if it will be worth my time.

Thats funny, alot of people predict "Hellgate London" on every game that comes out.. when it actually happens, someones a profit!

Is it just me or do the graphics seem more stylized?

  • GeoBearGeoBear Member UncommonPosts: 20

I don''t remember the graphics / models looking so "clean" either.

I have stopped testing. I really loved this game. The very concept was truly amazing. Unfortunately it is still a complete hackstorm nightmare where every 3rd person is running some sort of aimbot or wallhack. Couple this with the fact that 90% of the testing base could not care less about testing and is just there to jump on whatever the FoM weapon or build is and anyone attempting to test other content is cursed to nights of complete frustration. Don't try and post on the closed beta forums either regarding bugs or imbalances because the previously mentioned will just troll you with 'lern 2 play' or some other intelligent rhetoric. I weep for this game. G1 says they are leaving the ability to hack in so they can test finding them but by the time the finally implement it there will be no legitimate players left. All the friends I had that got into beta as well have already left. Wish I could say better but things do not look good.

Yes, it definately seems to have changed a bit. They appear to be more vivid and crisp than the previous.

  • DarthMooskaDarthMooska Member UncommonPosts: 146

Another problem I had with this game is bad players crying "aimbotting or wallhack" everytime they lost, when I'm clearly the better player.

I derive my strength from passion. Do you feel that? That is what seperates you and I, Jedi!

Closed Beta is about testing and giving input to improve the game, you claim people in the closed beta are using 3rd party software to cheat. I doubt that unless they forgot to flip the switch to punkbuster, cheating in APB is a big no-no with APB-Reloaded. APB is listening to the input this time, APB-Reloaded staff is aware of who is helping and those who are simply giving the game a run, I doubt some will have access in the very near future.

You honestly lost me at the following sentence:" G1 says they are leaving the ability to hack in so they can test finding them but by the time the finally implement it there will be no legitimate players left." G1 is doing all they can to put an end to cheating, and once again let me say closed beta is about testing the game, not playing it for fun. there will be lag, there will be bugs.

It Angers me when G1 APB-Reloaded needs all the input submissions they can get to make this game work, while you who SIGNED up to test and help make the game better, which I'm assuming that is not your case. Simply are going to stop testing while others want in to help fix the bugs to make the game better.

IF you truly loved the game, you would help fix the bugs, you will rat them out. They have even said closed beta testers will get a special item after, which is clearly not enough for you. while they are turning your account inactive, some people who actually want to help make APB-Reloaded a better game will get a shot at it.

The game is going to be Free2Play, meaning you do not have to re-buy the game. Any of your characters you previously have had on APB beforehand can be restored. I'm pretty sure this limits to just the customization and not the actual stats/weapons/car.

we will hear more about it on the APB-Reloaded Blog when open beta is around the corner. :)

Anyone who hacks can tell you punkbuster is a joke.   We will have to wait and see, but I doubt this game will be much of anything except the hackers.  Sad when so many people feel they have to cheat to play a game.

  • MokweeMokwee Member Posts: 286

They are still going to use punkbuster? Seriously? Im gone right there.

    Thats a joke.

Who is going to pay for stuff in their shop?

Really really dumb people or something? How can they even use a keyboard to be that stupid.

Going to be a hackers playground.

mate, this time APB is run by gamersfirst/K2 Network. That company will not do anything to prevent hacking, they will simply close their eyes and pretend it doesn't exist. if you don't believe then just load up WarRock (a title they actually developed) and see for yourself how hack infested it is.

Perhaps its time for a little more optimism, put more faith into K2 Network. Warrocks anti-cheat system is pretty weak, I wont argue there. APB by Realtime had an anti-cheat system, if I'm correct it was punkbuster. It was not working to well with them, and when the switch was flipped it caused high lag spikes. Basically the game was live without any anti-cheating system. Punkbuster the anti-cheat system used with games such as: Americas Army 3, Battlefield Bad Company 2 - Nuff Said.

I dislike punkbuster, but I believe it gets the job done which is why its so widely used with popular games.

Lets just wait and see, stay optimistic. be happy. :D

Now on-topic here, the video is very good! I ended up watching all of them on the channel o_o cant wait for APB-Reloaded!

Cheaters will always exist, always had and always will. It is up to the developers to restrict and ban then as much as possible. If they dont, or are incapable of, then the game will be dead on arrival.

  • YamotaYamota Member UncommonPosts: 6,593

That being said, I do looking forward to try this game. It looks pretty good.

I love how people Bash "hacks" in a game they wont even have to pay or put any money on to even try it at release..

The only games who "arent" broadly cheated are games who people dont play... Cheat Distributors are like Gold Sellers,  They need a market and Any game is their playground...as long it as some popularity.

So honestly i really dont know Why theres So much raging about cheaters on APB chats.. when its been happening to all games since the dawn of videogames.

Not to mention People who are just screaming hacks because they cant proprely Check their angles or dead zones. Its always easier to blame on some Surnatural effects than yourself... (yes there are cheaters...live with it, Get killed and cant take it ...go walk outside...you aint Cutout for games)

That's an excellent idea. Know what? Let's just let any athelete take steroids. I mean come on. What's the big deal. So he's cheating. Get over yourself. And college teams that get the other teams playbook... pshshsh. If you cannot beat someone that is cheating you really shouldn't be playing.

Face it folks. There is absolutely zero way to argue that cheating isn't an issue without painting a HUGE arrow on your forehead that says, I cheat. Whether it's pay to play or not, whether it is an online game or a national past time. Competing against someone that is using something against the rules to beat you in not fun. Everyone keeps pointing out, "d00d teh r gamez wut teh big deelz?" Games are supposed to be fun, they are supposed to be enjoyable. While there is a small masochistic minority out there that enjoys the challenge of playing against a cheat the vast majority would rather things be on equal footing. So a) stop trying to defend the premise that cheats are everywhere so that somehow means they are no big deal and b) if talented players want to stop being called cheaters at the drop of a hat then they had better damn well stop calling anyone that reports a cheat a n0 sk177z nub that should lern 2 play. Fair? Good.
