Looks pretty decent and unbiased in my eyes!

Nice reading!

That is a pretty nice, and fairly long, read.

Whenever I read those types of posts, it reminds me of when I first started playing, and the rookie errors I made when I was trying to figure the game out back in beta.  Of course, when you figure out a system, or when you start learning the lay of the land and get comfortable with it, I remember a certain satisfaction or feeling of at least a minor accomplishment, which is not something I've felt with many games.

Again, and pretty nice and objective read.

Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned.

Not objective at all, by definition a single customers experience is subjective. It is his own subjective view, and it's not common among customers of MO either given current sub numbers vs initial box sales.

However he is giving it a high score, so it must be objective eh? :)

A subjective good time though, and one not shared by most SV customers   :)

I think that most of sv customers enjoyed their time while playing the game :)

Tens of thousands of boxes sold, currentsubscribers in the low 100's.

It appears you are wrong, most of SV's customers think MO is a terrible game or they would still be playing.

I am sorry but there is no way of knowing the amount of subscribers, and its defo not in their 100's, because there are like 600 people world wide on the server at peak times and most would agree, and also I would say there are at least 2500 subs right now.

You say there is no way to know, then say you definitely know. Which is it?

With the trial, I would expect there to be more people around but players still say the world seems empty. One thing we do know though is that they do not have as many subs as they predicted or enough to continue as a business, both of those facts from Henrik.

I think you made Betel's case with this statement.  Didn't  SV sell between 20k and 30k boxes?  If you claim is right that there is 2500 subs, that means there is a HUGE decline in subs.  That would mean a majority of paying customers think the game is not a good game, hence only "2500" subs.  If a majority or even half of sold boxes still were subbed, there would be at least what 10k or more active subscriptions??

While it is off-topic, I can confirm that on release - the time most people are QQing for population-wise - there was between 400-500 players at "prime-time".

here is another from the OP thread link.  I do agree, the flagging system is easy to exploit.  I do not understand why blues can heal reds and get no MCs or at the very least go grey.

    default Resub? and buy game?

I hit the skill cap of 600 in 2 days; thats the first problem. This was supposed to be a trial and with a 600 skill cap I was extremely limited as to what I could do, accomplish and most importantly for a melee class, Kill.

I leveled up a mage to 600 max on all caster skills; any of you who have played this game know what a waste of time that turned out to be.

Its supposed to be a trial, so limiting me on skill points when I'm Already limited on the amount of time I can play the game is ridiculous. If the email you used could create more than one trial then I would understand, but since the email has to be Unique and can only create One account Ever, thats just moronic, plain and simple.

The changes that were made to nerf thieves harassing extractors were good but the fact that someone(henrik I'm sure) thinks they are even needed in the game isn't. 4 things about thieves =

    1. I never got stole from Once the entire 2 weeks I played(not for lack of them trying.)

    2. Thieves are 100% avoidable (so the argument that they make towns unsafe is bullshit.)

    3. If you have nothing in your inventory, towns ARE 100% SAFE (making that prior argument even more bullshit.)

    4. They serve One purpose and One purpose Only = To Annoy you while your in town and make you do the hokey pokey when you have something in your inventory you don't want stolen.

Creating characters was a pain; get done creating the character and can't save it or enter the game with no error message of any type. It took 5 tries to create my first toon.

Log into the character selection screen and there is no characters there,...

Stay in the game long enough and when you log out the game crashes with a Fatal error.

Log out of the game and it goes to the login screen(wtf?); Every other game out there goes to character selection when you log out. Log back in at that point and 30% of the time there were no characters there; had to restart the whole game and hope they would show up.

I actually got De-synced TWICE; WTF??

Still no auction house was disappointing.

Still no area chat was disappointing = There are plenty of programs like skype, teamspeak, vent, yada yada,.. people are using those to communicate and work together Garunteed. Because of that there should be zone chat, whatever the argument is for not having it(realism?); its a game and not all that realistic to begin with. Functionality should win over Attempting to be realistic.

The Most important reason that I will not subscribe = Murderers camp outside of a city and kill people(thats fine it happens) BUT, Blue shield toons heal them and when the Red gets a kill the person who's been healing them Doesn't get a murder count. Its basically an exploit and its the same thing that was going on in the Beta and one of the biggest reasons I didn't play at release,... the Reds have the advantage in PvP already from their main town being right next to tephra ore(and the blast furnaces which give the highest yields on almost everything) and the armor and weapons you can make from those mats are superior. They should not get to openly exploit the flagging system, its utterly ridiculous that they can still exploit the flagging system after how long this game has been out and it was VERY disappointing.

Server crashes constantly the whole 2 weeks, after the game being out for almost a year was unexpected and disappointing. It crashed at 6pm Saturday night,... wasn't brought back up till 9pm!!

Thats unacceptable, plain and simple. If I'm expected to pay to play a game, then the company is expected to keep the servers up and running, period. If Starvault doesn't care about US people being able to play during their peak hours and they aren't going to have people watching the servers, there should be a warning about that so we know that you don't give a fuck if we can play or not.

All in all, I give this game a One.

    Its still in beta form.

Since the exploitation of the flagging system by murderers is Condoned and by that Encouraged, I will Never buy this game or subscribe and will tell Everyone I know about the experience to make sure they know why they wouldn't want to sub either.
