It would be true if WoW actually used that map. WoW 2011 is a lobby game, where you join random groups for arenas, battlegrounds or instances with the anonymous multishard random dungeon matcher. The world is pretty much useless for those at max level, while for those not there, you get to speed through it so fast, you don't get to see much of the world at the appropriate level to make it challenging.
Rift's end-game is not so different from WoW though, it is a gear grind like WoW with a little bit more gated approach. I was waiting this to be like this way. But PvP end-game is very disappointing at the moment, I have already done warfronts numerous times and it is pretty much a boring grind to get better gear with the variety of 4 warfronts. But the questing and leveling is still a good experience compared to WoW.
