Hello all,
I'm looking for a game that I can be a right bastard in. I've always enjoyed my characters being somewhat on the evil side. I enjoy games that you can kill and have either full loot / or partial loot , steal from players, or just games that allow you to have a "griefing" method that actually benefits you and takes away from the griefed player. I played Eve Online for a little bit and enjoyed many of the darker sides of it, however I just don't like the skill training over real time. Does anyone have any game suggestions for me? It can be free to play or pay to play, does not matter to me. When you make a suggestion could you state the name of the game and why you think I might like it?
Thank you.
Yes, games that I play to pass the time should be time-consuming. That's why I play them.

Darkfall Online is a full loot pvp game. That may float your boat. I just hear it has a pretty decent grind and that the population isn't the greatest.
You also may have better luck posting this in the Looking for Game forum
Thank you, I did not notice that forum. I will post there. I'm primarily looking for a mmo to be a thief in if its possible. One where you can steal from people.

I think that is only possible if you are an MMO developer ;-) good luck on your search.
Warhammer Destruction side. FTW!!!!!!
If full loot PVP is your thing, so that you can be an openly and flagrantly evil character, then I'll let others point you to those games.
If you want to be a more subtle and nuanced version of evil, then you might want to look into A Tale in the Desert. It has no combat, but it also demonstrates that combat isn't necessary to make a hardcore PVP game. It has a variety of game mechanics that can be abused in creative ways. In one case, one player murdered another's character. Also, you don't respawn, so that means, create a new character and start over if you want to play again. In another case, someone sold on Ebay the ability to ban seven accounts from the game--and yes, those are permanent bans.
If you do play ATITD, don't be openly evil. Stealing from guild chests or taking one side of a trade without giving the other person what you promised is just too obvious. That will get you blacklisted, and cut off your chances to do some real, creative damage.
One other point that could aid you? Moderators aren't allowed to ban you for anything short of bug exploitation. Meaning, no matter what you say in chat, the game's moderators aren't allowed to do anything about it. There are ways that other players could ban you, though...
Eve, that game is tailormade for allowing you to be a total jerk. It is considered a mechanic even by some players.

Well.... While I think thats pretty pathetic to want to grief as entertainment.... Darkfall is pretty perfect for you, pretty much a sociopath magnet, you will enjoy it.
Also , Mortal Online has a thiefing system, ffa full loot as well.
How about real life?
try cardmon Hero..or maple story or other kiddy looking games It's nice being bad-ass in those kinds of games.

As I understand it, Haven and Hearth caters to this. You can steal from other people all day long. If you're caught, though, I think it's perma-death. So there are consequences to your sociopathic behavior.
EVE is tailor made for your desires, better stay with it. If the skill system is your only problem, you most likely can live with it.
Yeah, Darkfall online is a pretty nice game and i agree, there isnt much to look forward to in terms of its community. I dunno, I just feel a little detached with the game. Have you tried playing Forsaken world? I've been hearning really nice reviews about the game. Right now I'm gonna go try cardmon hero. The game sounds really intriguing. Good luck to you!
All the world's a stage.
Darkfall and EVE are best for being straight up evil. You might want to take a look at DCUO and City of Villains too. DCUO especially gives you lots chances to grief other players. Both give you quests that can be pretty evil, though I think you are talking mostly about PvP.
