Solution to slow patching: (up from 3kb/s to 200kb/s)

So, after seeing my patching dropped down from 1.2mb/s to 3kb/s I went absolutely ballistic. I have no clue whatsoever what to do on PC's, and had to start googling this issue.

Fortunately I found "some" sort of a fix, which has taken my download speed up from 3kb/s to 200kb/s as we speak. And here is the "solution" I can offer:

Start->Run (or Windows Key + R)

Type: notepad.exe %SystemRoot%system32driversetchosts

* If you're on Win7/Vista, you need to open notepad.exe as administrator then manually open that specific file. It's going to be in C:Windowssystem32driversetc. The file is named 'hosts'

At the end of the file insert this line:

208.94.26.142 update2.triongames.com

Save the file. Re-run the patcher.

If people had not jumped so fast to conclusions, I might had someone helping me in the other thread. But well, no harm done and I am now on Telara trying out all the different classes.
