Correct me where i missed the boat but the following irritate me in rift:
1) You do not return to your pre-rift group after defeating the rift
2) Attacks from very low level mobs with no chance to win but every chance to slow down travel
3) kinda related to 2 but very large mob aggro range
4) Mobs on foot running you down and knocking you off mount even on a road
5) Massive spell display in battles so that it is very hard to see cursor (just me i guess)
6) Swiming sucks--i cannot get above the water to see well where i am going

8. I do not like that Trion never anticipated how advanced hackers were or the list they kept of user name and passwords, so they released the game without Authenticators.
This is being fixed though
9. Too many different pvp backgrounds are coming from too many games and causing drama left and right
I got no idea how to even start here. I pity Trion because everyone wants something different.
10. The doom and gloom crowd is not stopping or even attempting to slow down. Oddly enough the WoW crowd focuses on Rift when the SoE CEO specifically said they are trying to de-throne WoW with SWToR.
Maybe this will go down over time
11) Warfronts... the people just randomly go bash players instead of trying to win.
12) No tamming pets... WHY! WHY! WHYYYYYYY! *sniff*
13) Quests. Same formulas all over and over and over... thank god for rifts/invasions to spice things up.
14) Rogues that are assassins... I hate beying attacked behind. That's sooooo low... but it is more of a generic MMO problem I have, not this game.
15) Two headed turtles... they are everywhere.
16) Character costumization. Soooo good but still some major options are lacking! UGH!

My only issue was with your first problem. They force us into reforming our group every single time we finish a rift, instead of reforming it automatically if we joined as a group in the first place.
My other issue is rough. And I'm not sure if I'm the only person with the problem. Floating names aren't showing for me. Every single option in the settings work, besides the names section. I tried rebooting, reinstalling, repatching, file recovery, ui toggle, checking every checkbox a million times, emailing Trron, paging a GM, asking in general chat and guild chat, restoring the computer...
My conclusion is that the last hotfix have corrupted some files. That's the only thing I could think of. Barring reformatting my hard drive, I don't think there's anything I can do to fix it.
Only thing I'll add is the community even paying attention to the cry babies. Majority of the complaints are minor if you can even call them that. And I said this over and over and over its not even one month retail. The doom sayers are all wow players anyway. Who either complain the game isnt carebear like wow. Or they don't understand the expansion classes or how to use them. Then they run on forums and say "In wow you can do this it should be standard" Well....its NOT WOW no one wants it to be concensus. But people who are in denial wow itself is systematically killing itself. Will come to this game and whine and complain then hopefully take their behinds back to wow to go down in flames with it.
And I also said one game will never take down wow by senority. What will happen this year though is Rift,Star Wars, GW2, Tera, and Blade and Soul. Combined will finish wow's ability to rehash over and over content down your throat because thiers no where to go. Now thier is so it's lights out for wow and soon. Between the main killer wont be star wars it will be GW2. But they will all be the davids to the goliath.
The problem with #2 isn't aggro range, it's that there's only 5m of space between any given mobs. They are EVERYWHERE. Which is also why #1 is a problem, since you can't ride past anything since they are EVERYWHERE so you have to ride through them, getting knocked off.
If roads made sense and went from Point A to Point B they might be an option, but when the road from Point A to Point B takes a ridiculously long winding route through Point C before heading to Point B, then there's a problem with the roads. Add in giant outdoor dungeons or worse, impassible cliffs, and you just make the 'having to ride through things' even more of a problem.
In higher level zones it's not as bad as it is in the lowbie zones, but it's evident that Trion wanted people to spend tons of time hacking through trash mobs to get anywhere in the world.
Which is something getting adjusted. The way is works now is confusing at best and not even remotely consistent. They did it to prevent bot'n just so you why it is like that,
Notice you have seen hardly any bots in this game compared to say an Aion? They are trying to make a severely complicated code here.
You need a system that:
1. Does not aggro you while on your mount
2. Allows you to get knocked off by players, but not mobs
3. Any mobs that aggro have to be within 10 lvl ranges
^ That seems simple, but it pretty complex
