Arena.Net artists Richard Anderson and Kekai Kotaki were recently honored by the annual Spectrum Awards which recognize excellence in science fiction and fantasy art. Both artists were given the Spectrum Award based on concept art pieces created specifically for Guild Wars 2.
Kekai Kotaki won Spectrum’s Gold Medal for Concept Art for this impressive piece of Guild Wars 2 art entitled “Riven Earth.”
Richard Anderson won the Gold Medal for Institutional Art for this luminous, evocative piece of GW2 art called “Knight March.”

Kekai Kotaki is simply amazing, a well deserved award! I didn't know Richard Anderson but I really like what he is done for GW2, out of the two Richard's is my favourite. Grats to both. Anet certainly know how to pick an art team
Like many others that will respond, I have The Art of Guild Wars 2 book and enjoy perusing through it even now. While all the art is amazing, Kotaki's is clearly the cream of the crop. An insanely talented artist; masterful with texture and shading and a brilliant canvas composer. Well deserved, both of them.

Yeap and I steal ideas from the SEVERAL art books I have of theirs every now and them. From Factions to GW2 I have them all.... I don't have the Prophecies art book though.../cry

Their artists are definitely at the top of my list.
I have to stop following GW2. It feels like I’m opening my Christmas present in November.
