CFO's have an easy enough time twisting their own words to make it sound like they know something about anything.

It was the only thing that both protestants and catholics agreed on, while they were unhappy with eachother, they damn sure were letting someone else into the fun and both sides jumped the anabaptists. It will be Old schoolers, Post WoWers, and ToR newbies, think of the flames and corpes man, think of it before it gets out of hand.

He won't fail; A lot of KOTOR players (existing Bioware Player Base) will have hundreds of hours of solo content to play through ; add to that hundreds of hours of random quests and hundreds of hours of flashpoint fun requiring only 4 players.

Plus a universe they love. If Bioware only get it half right you will a lot of conversions to people playing the MMO. The ammount of content will drag them in more I believe than we have ever seen before for a startup. And thats just a couple of the game elements covered.

You shouldn't misjudge Bioware or the IP they are playing with here; None of what you have written above will apply.

The conservative 12 million market EA is targeting is conservative and with the poor quality of recent MMOs; This game will have no problem tagging a large player base; what percentage of the 12 million that is,  who cares they will have millions just in for the solo content for over 6 months in itself. Before any MMORPGers come along.

When you add the people who love the Star Wars IP and MMOers who have been waiting for the RPG element to be brought back to the genre; and all the disgruntled players who have not had a decent game to play for years I believe you will find they have a success on their hands.

This game will be  a Breath of fresh air; It has got that feel about it.

Wrong.. bioware was already working on TOR before EA bought them.

He did not actually say that, just that they had a hand in picking the crew. And the team do have many old Mythic employees now so there is some truth to it.

The team still have the same people in charge as before EA but under themn you do find a lot of new people.

EA can mess this up, at least if Ray isn't careful. We will just have to wait and see.

But do TOR have 1 1/2 million beta testers? And didn't invite me? I havn't even seen a single leak that here that were posted and later deleted, Rift had a lot less people and they had leaks here all the time. If they have that many peop,le they must really threaten to sue any leaks.

Well EA says they have 1.5 Million beta applicants, not people in beta, and i can confirm that becuase i'm not in beta and i'm one of those 1.5 Million

Secondly there have been leaks, just most of them have been quickly qualmed/delated.  Also and to most people i know that would leak info they tend to be more worried about reprocuations from a company like Bioware that pumps a ton of money in, then say trion that pumped some money in.  Bioware/EA are in my opinion more likely to pursue action on this product then say Trion would.

But even at that, there have been leaks, it's just people are getting more sneaky about it, thus getting harder to find.

Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.

Is ToR going to be good? Dude it's Bioware making a freaking star wars game, all signs point to awesome. -G4tv MMo report.

TOR is fleshing out to be many things but a breath of fresh air is not one of them. Lets be honest here it's wow in space. But the bad news is there isn't much Space in the game, its mostly going to be loot progression grinds and endless carrots on a stick. Instead of new horse and giant bird mounts your going to get 5 types of land speeder to attain. The only thing this game is going to prove once and for all is that the WOW copy cat mentality is not sustainable if it fails like the other clones did. Believe me if EA does a dive bomb on this one people will notice. Solo content no matter how much of it there is, is totally meaningless if its the same guided handstrokes point a to point b quest system similar to wow.

I love Star Wars, but I with good reason hate EA games as well. IF anyone can screw this up its them. Im sorry I did the wow thing already and even played EQ and the wow clones off and on, I would rather cut off my own leg or something else horrible to myself like in those saw movies than play onother tired progression loot game which is basically a big chat hub with instance portals. I will just retire on EVE until something comes along that doesnt kill brain cells.

lol, Swtor a fresh breath of air.....yeah sure, Bioware releasing theire same old cliche history and "gameplay" but now in an Onlineworld. The Bioware fans always defend this by the words: They are catering to theire RPG fans.......Then why are they doing this game as an MMO?

Bah, this game is already overhyped and has got to much undeserved promises of awsomnes.

And yeah, i`m also one of thoose 1,5 million applicants. But it`s not couse i expect this to be the next "big one" it`s couse i love MMO:s and i always want to try a new one.

Specifically in reference to the text in red.  Can you show us any proof?  You go on to tell us you have NOT been a beta tester yet so I have to assume you are in close contact with one.  Send me an e-mail address so I can talk to him myself to verify what you are saying.  Somehow I doubt you will be able to since even self proclaimed Star Wars haters that have played this game all say it was a lot of fun.

If you can't provide the proof, you are just trolling and showing your own ignorance.  Don't get me wrong, this game "could" suck, but considering that I have yet to play a BioWare game I didn't like, I doubt it.  Added to that is the fact that you get to interact with potentially millions of others around the world while playing this game and it just adds to the "awesome factor" of this game.

"If half of what you tell me is a lie, how can I believe any of it?"

Gah, I am one of those 1.5 million and I completely lost interest in TOR months ago.

I discovered how much I hate VO when I played through Tortage in AoC, and this is one of TORs drawcards. Besides, if anything draws me away from Rift, it will be GW2 which also has a dynamic event system.

TOR hasn't been released and yet seems a bit old and dowdy already... in my opinion. If it is rushed out the door, and subsequently lacks polish, it may go the way of STO and WAR.
