Revised DPS Cleric FTW Guide

Several weeks ago I came up with a build for Cleric that I was sure would rule in PvP.  I was right.  But since playing I have learned some key features that a real playerkiller would want to know.

1.  Roll a Cleric, preferably Guardian.  Why?  The Guardian starting zone is longer to get through but the 10-19 zone is MUCH easier to navigate and level in.  MUCH easier.  Roll on the highest pop server that fits your play style.

2.  First souls should be Warden.  Why?  You get a heal and an insta cast damage spell.  Insta cast damage spells are your friends.

3.  By the time you are out of the starting zone (doing only quests that you have to) you should be level 6 and specced like this.

4.  Run to Argent Glade and train Outfitter/Runecrafter/Butcher. "But Clerics wear chainmail, why not take Armorsmith?"  If you have a main then go Armorsmith, but cloth and skins drop off kills.  Mining is a seperate activity which can be done later.  You can hit level 100 Runecrafting just from making Soft Leather Boots AND make the 2.5p needed for a nice mount.

5.  Farm 5 stacks of Soft Hides, make boots, Runebreak them, work Rinecrafting to 100.  Save good runes sell crappy runes.  Sell excess stacks of Uncommon Powder.

6.  Now this is where you need to multitask.  You have three goals here.  (1) become Honored with the Quicksilver College by doing all the quests, dailies and crafting dailies there are.  (2) Earn 1 Purple planar token, 7 Blue planar tokens, and 700 planarites by doing all the HIGHEST level rifts you can possibly survive.  Spam your BIG HEAL and this will go quickly. (3)  Earn 2000 favor in the Warfronts by doing all PvP quests and OWNING everything that moves.

Buy Planar Gear!  The Staff, the Chest, 2 blue essences, a Sigil, and the Pants.

7.  By now you are level 12 and your specc looks like this.  Buy all the PvP gear available from the "PvP Goods" Vendor in Argent Glade.

8.  Keep working your 3 part program until 18 when your spec should look like this.

9.  Go to Gloamwood Pines and buy the PvP gear.

10.  At 19 go buy the KILLER STAFF from the Quicksilver College Vendor.

11.  Got to Gloamwood and begin the next cycle.  The next PvP vendor will be in the Scarlet Desert place.  More details later!
