Ode to Troll Poem- Rift is fine people...

I saw this and just had to post it,
"I am a troll that lives under the bridge.
I hide in the anonymous cracks that speed people along the super highway.
I lurk in the threads of internet comments and work to undermine the infrastructure.
I am a troll that lives in your wires.
Grumbling out every vulgar distraction.
I live to drag in unsuspecting pedestrians.
To shred them with insults and defamatory words.
Personally, I feel as free as a hummingbird fluttering over a flower. Delighted in my sucking
the juice out of passing souls.
But, that's just the love/hate life of a troll.
Living blissfully, on the misery of others."
Rift launched march 1st, yet there is thread after thread of mass QQing.
I have been doing the pay to play for a long time.
I started with Tanarus then to EQ, AO, AC, EQ2, Eve, WoW, War and now Rift.
Rift hands down has the best launch to date. Yet we got masses of players that expected it to be polished product right after launch. I feel for the most part is it very polished. There is and will always be tweeking that has to be done. Look at WoW, 5+ years later and they are still patching it? Huh... immagine that. Think WoW was good at launch? Well it was not even close. After 6mo things got real stable.
Rift was very stable from launch.
Its funny that before launch Rift some players was yelling 'It will FAIl.." and now players are babbleing "After 6mo it will fail"... why would anyone pay for a game and turn around and hope it fails? Well more power to ya. /eye roll
The dev's got some very nice things coming out soon so chill out and enjoy Rift. Stop trying to make Rift into WoW2 ok?

the reason it runs so well and is so polishedis because the engine is well used by many others and is very stab.e So Rift devs did not have to spend too much time messing around with the engine as it was already in place and basically worked.. So they had the time to spend on other bits of the game.
Im not a fan of Rifts not because that its a bad game or anything jsut because its not my type of game. I would recommend it to any of my mates that enjoy a standard cookie cutter mmo as i know they would realyl enjoy it.

I look forward to the next gen MMO coming out. Whatever it will be.
Some of my friends are not MMO at all, they only like FPS but like watching me play Rift..

Here's the thing you may not know or realise about this game. The front engine is the same as another MMO, WAR to be precise. Unlike however WAR, Rift does not share the same network code, which makes the game responsive in combat, no mater how many people are around. This was not the case with WAR. Thus, the polished part of the engine does not come from the engine itself, but from the under the hood modifications provided by Rift that allowed the game to run in this way.
Yeah i did read about that and thats a good thing about using an off the self engine you can put resources into other things.

My problem with the word "troll"....nice poem, by the way.....is that MOST often it's just used as a word to describe someone that disagrees with you. Someone with an opinion that differs from yours is not necessarily a troll. The word is as overused as the word clone. Both of them are convenient labels used to dismiss something or someone.
