Aion: Reactivation Campaign Kicks Off

The Aion team has announced that a new Aion reactivation campaign will kick off on Thursday, March 24th and continue for a week. The week will allow players to check out recent updates as well as a rifting event called "For War and Glory". In addition to the reactivation event, devs have announced forthcoming changes in v2.5 "Empyrean Calling".

Atreia has been rife with excitement in the past six months as we celebrated Aion’s anniversary in the West, the launch of Aion’s first expansion: Assault on Balaurea, and Part 1 and Part 2 of the 2.1 update.

Aion devs also let us know about a special gift active players will receive on April 1st:
All active players will receive a functional pet as of April 1, 2011. As long as you have a live account (reactivated or new) you will receive a Pointytail Acarun Egg which will give players their new pet! These functional pets can be very useful to the prudent player and in this case there are two to choose from – Alert pets and Balaric material pets.

Great game but too much grind. I love the setting, the lore, everything, but everyday feels the same. I will check it out, but I doubt I'll re-sub.
Maybe if the combat were fast and fun but the combat is soooooo boring and all you do is grind to level so...yeah, no thanks.
Something I really hated in the combat is that it's very flashy and "acrobatic" but it doesn't fit in cause the skills root you in place, it looks very out of place. Just go watch 2 glads fighting and it will look very odd lol.
well the combat is fast some skills make you not move but you have ways to make it not get in the way in some of then, only problem with aion is you need to have a good net or you will get annoyed pretty fast
some odd comments about the combat. I think its some of the most fast and dynamic visual combat in a mmo to date.
the game is vivid with pastal colours and the flashes and sparks of the combat just add to it. It has rave Dance music in the Abyss! what else can you exspect, hehe.
Sorta makes me wish i didn't sale my halfly equipped miragents lvl 50 cleric.. Gave up on the leggings tho after 4 failed attempts.. Took so long for updates i figured they were never comeing, but instead the game looks like its forming up niceley now.. Too much of a grind for me to attempt to go back from scratch tho.

Yeah well to bad they hacked my account and NCSoft wanted the CC nr I used to when playing CoX (?) to fix it. Like I am going to remember the credit card number of a card used 2-3 years ago.
NCSoft, never again.

More likely I will return to play TB :-) then return to Aion. I have still nightmares from when played last. :-)
