As i am sick of questing, I am looking for some popular grind game with healthy population. I could play Silkroad Online, it perfectly match my requirments but It is FILLED with bots + you are forced to spend few weeks grinding skill points and using taxi services if you want to be even little competitive later on higher lvls.
So the game I am looking for could be pretty similar to Silkroad online. And It would be lovely if cashshop didnt ruin the game.
Sorry for my eanglish.

anyone?
Sorry for my eanglish.
Mabinogi I guess...
There are quests and such, some are automatically flown to you when you hit certain milestones, others are found at bulletin boards and involve either killing X amount of mobs or completing dungeons. You could just avoid those and grind in dungeons anyway, most people do at some point, but doing the quests is the best source of XP early on.
Lots of people play it, which is why I suggested it.

Waiting On: GW2, TSW, Archeage, The Rapture
I'd suggest Cabal, since it has a skilling system that forces you to grind although a bit boring it gives you a satisfying sense of accomplishment when reaching a new level. Since many don't grind for these it gives you an edge over other players directly, though there are quite a few quests you don't have to do them and I usually like to grind in this game, there are a few bots but however you can pk them if you feel like it
Maplestory for sure. There are quest of course but you can look up a guide to only do the ones that will get you items you might want. But this game is all about making friends and grinding or socializing.
I am so sorry that you actually WANT to grind.
Seriously, I read this and thought it was a joke. I am still not convienced it isn't. Grinding is so boring in the first place. I am not sure what the "fun" is to it. I only hope that MMO devs don't see this thread. They will go, "see, we can make a ton of money if we just figure out a way to put GRINDING on our f2p store".
Let's party like it is 1863!
Isn't it weird that you asked for a well populated grind game, but then you complain about having to grind for skill points?
How much WoW could a WoWhater hate, if a WoWhater could hate WoW?
As much WoW as a WoWhater would, if a WoWhater could hate WoW.
Actually in silkroad you ve got to grind those skill points reallu hardcore way without enjoying anything game offers siting afk while using taxi service from hlvl playerd or botting. And when i say weeks I really mean few weeks of everyday play. ;P
Right now i am testing Aika online and ROSE. I am just not sure if playerbase is enough.
Sorry for my eanglish.
silkroad has more bots than players..... Aika is a good one, and of course any Perfect World entertainment game is well populated and grind game (PWI, FW, Jade Dynasty, HOTK, BoI, LOMA, Ether Saga)
If u are really looking for grinding,
maybe u should check out Kal Online, the population is good (at the mid/higher levels mostly). In the early levels u will have some quests wich u will have to do for contribution points, wich are needed if u ever wanna join and be serious with a guild. the early levels go quite fast so it will feel like ur doing alot of questing but from level 30+ it all slows down alot and the serious grinding begins (U have 1 quests per level wich will grant u about 10% xps around level 30 but it gets to around 7% at 40etc. Also these quests make u grind buttloads of low level mobs to get the items ( heads ie)).
Then about the cash shop not screwing up the game,i think it certainly doesnt for this game as u can either buty for urself or spent a little extra cash and all the items will be sellable in-game. And there are loooots of people willing to spend that little extra so they can sell all thos cash shop items (exp stones etc.) to get some in-game money to buy better gear (u cant buy any gear from the cashshop, only things like xps stones, things that will get u to certain dungeons instantly, self-revives....)
So the good thing here is u can keep it free by grinding some extra mobs to make money and then u can buy all the cash shop items u want with in-game money. At first this may seem like a pretty boring game and u will have to bite trough those first levels and try and get into a helpfull guild around level 30 or so, u might need the info on where and how is best to level. Alsothey have recently put some more effort into the game (wich is allways in development so it seems) and i believe they are even adding mounts in near future :P
Hope this is usefull, and ofcourse that u find a nice game
