This game is not really carebear or anti-carebear.
Carebear is someone that dont do PvP.
WoW have PvP and PvE servers and some weird approach to both. However, WoW is CASUAL and offer nothing to hardcores beside empty claims made by Afterlife!

Yeah dude ive seen lots of PvP in this game. Well im on a PvP server, I wouldnt play the game any other way......
You have to use BBML.
Its not as much carebear as much as it just sucks. The game is completely level based so that a lvl 60 can kill like 20 lvl 40s. Raids are impossible because of insane guard spawn. Raids are useless because they allmost do no damage. Battlegrounds are in Instance. Regular pvp withing your level range is ok but it gets boring fast.

I'd feel bad for the 20 lvl 40's that could get one lvl 60, lol.
How's the pvp in MxO ... oh wait.

remember tho i told you on the WOW forums your not allowed to post on carebears, since you joined the most carebear of all pvp games GW, you opinions are moot and worthless, go on with your badd self and ask people if they want to pvp you, since your strictly consentual pvper now
oh btw people dont even try to tell luzi hes wrong, he wont hear it, ive known about his pvp trolling for over a year now
Amusingly, he posted a very similar message in the SWG forums. Apparently, to him carebear = unable to loot player corpses. There's only 1 game I know of out there that has full open PvP and corpse looting rights, and that's Lin 2.
I also fail to see how the now-removed TEF system made SWG carebear, but I guess that's my opinion.
Finding pvp in SWG can be very fustrating. I used to run around 'The Circuit' (ie. Coronet, Theed, Mining Outpost, Bestine) for hours as a single overt without finding a fight. It wasn't for a lack of people, even combatants, being around. People were just afraid, lol.
There's little to no forced pvp in SWG.
I really like Blizzard's server setup. If you're really into PvP, you can join a PvP server. Otherwise, casual fighters can go to PvE servers.

i love wow but i have to agree. Wow is so utterly carebear im starting to see the world in tints of pink and purple. With non existant death penalty and absolutely no risk vs reward system, its one of the most carebeary games out there. Everything in wow is so dumbed down a 10 year old with mental retardation would learn the game within his first hour of playing it.
And the learning curve.. What curve? Its more like a yellow-bricked road with direction signs every few feet.
Having said that, i still love it

lol that's just too funny coming from a MXO player. When MXO finally (or ever) breaks 100,000 subscribers come give us a call. Just remember don't hold your breath waiting for it to happen. Wouldn't want you to die.

I do think WoW should have a player corpse looting system (like shadowbane) there is really no reason to fear getting pked. If you lost you inventory, it would add reason to fight for your life.
Sadly not for this game. Making this available would be hell, you know why? Because lvl 60s would be runnnig around killing everyone from 55 and down in 10 to 1 hit.
A lvl 50 and down against a lvl 60 doesnt stand a chance, So there would be no "fighting for your life" because if they dont start running for their lives when they see somone atleast 5 lvls above them theyre screwed.

Hey, its the simplest form of entertainment. You do good you get rewarded. Even chimps respond positively to that system. They manage to put the blue ball into the circular hole they get a banana. I kill 6 gnolls i get a shiny weapon.

I have just been ganked in Burning Steppes by a giant bear with a heart pattern on it's stomach. It proclaimed to be spreading love throughout the world as it pummelled me into an early grave.
I finally understand why all these people are calling this a care bear game! I am definately going to quit now and play MxO, it's fab.....

aehm i dont know a lot about wow but my brother tells me that there is no real crafting system (there is but its not as good as the drops anyway..) k and i dont want to talk about it if i dont know it. the reason i am writing in here is because someone said that u can loot bodies in Lin2: plz dont write anything if u have no clue what u are talking about
u can not loot the remains of ur enemy. when he goes red (through pk) the chance incraeses that he will drop something and the more karma u have (u get karma through pking) the greater the chance becomes that u drop more and better stuff. this pvp system is amazing as long as some players go on red ones (which is the case 
i think in ao u can loot ur enemy if he has not saved his character... i played it only a few weeks...

I dont like pvp at least not the "I gank you, you gank me" Perspective. I like duels where you can evenly test your self against another persons mettle.
