So I tried the trial a while back but wanted to try again and see if the servers really are up most of the day. The first time it was easy to d/l the client and start playing with no problems but now I can't get the game to run for more than a few seconds before it crashes with either a blank Message or a Runtime error. Is there a trick to getting the game to work? I'd tried doing file check and repair, reinstalling from the installer and d/ld patches, even re-d/ling everything (all which took 2 days doing) and yet it still remains unplayable. I installed .Net 3.5 and 4... is there something else that is needed that I may not have?
I'd post this on the official forums but I'm afraid it will get deleted and I'll be banned for trolling or something with how they run their forums.

are you able to actually log on the game but keep getting fatal errors?
i'v heard this game loves a lot of free memory, so if you dont have lots of free space(RAM) on your computer you might get many more fatal errors then most people. wile everyone gets the odd fatal error every once in a wile (once or twice a day) it shouldn't be every 5 minutes.
i highly suggest putting in a thread in the Support part of the MO forums. hopefully you'll get some moderator of dev to give you some answers.
I get errors after logging in at character creation, usually while loading, and if I get that far a few mins after being in game.
hard to say, it could also be a combination of free memory and your graphics card. no idea how good the computer you are using is.
you could try turning down all the graphic settings from the launcher to a minimum, also play it in dx 9 and see if that helps at all.
still, do make a thread in the Support forums. it shouldn't get deleted.
Some might say this game has yet to work. I am among them.
lolz, ...ooooh snap!
but yea, truth hurts.
Thats part of the patcher. You need to uninstall the game and reinstall / repatch it without interrupting it at all. This is quite common for their installer. Most of the people I know had to install / patch the game twice to get it to work.
I actually got it working. It was because I reformatted and forgot to install SP2. Unfortunately I had even less time to play as this got burried in my priority list of games to play.
