im just impressed you can get games to work with Linux.. its not a very well supported OS despite its numerous advantages.. Eve used to have a linux client.. was kind of sad when they stopped it.. but.. i would like to see more games supporting Linux.. after all, the Mac is often supported, and its not like there are that many less.. probably more? people use Linux than Mac..
Hello there. Its nice to see others out there using Linux. I'm curious, what distro are you using (Ubuntu, Mint, Debian, etc)?
Here's a list of MMO's that run natively on Linux.
Eve Under Linux.
Unfortunately, other than those, it's not going to be so easy making games run smoothly on Linux if you're using WINE (Which I imagine you are). It does work for a lot of games, but the set up process can be confusing, and the outcome may offer poor results (glitchy graphics, bad FPS, etc). Honestly, it's just not a truly viable option if you really want to game. At least not yet, as it has improved over the years, and I'm sure it will keep doing so.
The best option would be to find a copy of Windows XP/Vista/7 and use that. I myself have a dual boot setup of Windows 7 and Ubuntu 10.10. I do all my graphic design, programming, and work projects on Ubuntu, and leave Windows for my gaming.
EDIT: IF you do try Eve again, remember to follow those beginning tutorials. They DO help. It is long and takes time, but it's worth it. As soon as you're done with that, as everyone will suggest, you should join a Corp.

I succes to install wow succesfull on linux and im able to play it but on low graphics and fps is 30 -.- With windows i had 60fps on high setup..
Is there any good sandbox game for linux?
I know Ryzom is. I haven't played it myself but I know others that have enjoyed it.
Eve can work under Wine apparently (I posted it in my earlier post). That most definitely is a sanbox.
You can always browse the Linux Game Database.
