Rift sli users temporary performance fix.

ZefireZefire Member Posts: 676

Until trion decides to optimize their shity optimized game i finally found a solution giving a huge boost to sli users of rift.

First u must have the latest drivers that support rift sli.

2nd u go to nvidia control panel at rift's profile and change sli to sli alternate rendering 2.(Heres where the magic happens)

At least thats what worked for me on gtx 580 sli and now im able to play at high settings  full shadows 110-120 fps v sync on and with much better performance than before.

I m curious why trion didnt mention this or hasn't fix that yet.Are they smoking all day? ;)

Have fun guys the game now performs alot much better.

     I'm jealous, 110-120fps...jeesh.

I have a gtx 460, with all the settings turned up to full, including supersampling and shadows on everything, I was getting 17fps. Turned off those two things, noticed very little change graphics wise (shadows are overrated) and my fps hopped up to 50.

Ah, this makes perfect sense, you're an SLI user, seen many games fall flat on their face with this set up.  Glad you figured out a work around.

Don't be jealous, about 60 of those FPS are wasted.

Not wasted on 120 hz monitor.

And believe me once u play at 120 fps on 120 hz monitor u will never want to go back at 60.Some advice to enlighten your hardware knowledge.
