If it's hard to get back to blue, those preferring FFA PvP will stay red permanently. 90% of players will be red, but when you'll see another blue, you can be pretty sure that he won't attack you, if you're blue.

Eliminating alignment exploits, esp. those used by vets against newbies, in the long run will improve game for everyone.

If you played UO for 10 years, then I'm pretty sure ANY game will be fine. :P

People quit UO because it morphed into something else, something horrible. So yeah, Darkfall should be fine.

Thanks for the heads up.  I know I posted this a few months ago, but I now am finally going to give DF the time to try it out.  Right now I am downloading Mortal Online and Darkfall Online.

I guess what I am really looking for is a community to be apart of similar to how UO was.  I want to be able to have a house and an area I can call mine, craft, and explore the world.

To be honest, I am not sure how well either of these games will work out for me since I am looking for a MMO that is more about being in a world than just going out and killing everything.

Well i don't want to be harsh but if you played Uo till 2009, i think you better go back there. I played Uo till 2005 i think but its still almost 10 year for me, but i just couldn't go back there at all, and DF just doesn't offer at all what i liked in UO. Maybe DF 2.0 will be better, but i lost hope in this game tbh, there is too much to change in it to take it to the UO standard. Im still watching this game closely tought, and if you never played it, it might get you some good moment.

Thanks.  I stopped my Mortal Online download, I just don't think this game would offer what I love in UO.  Darkfall, who knows.  I might as well give it a try.

Mainly, what I am looking for, is an adventure.  And maybe you can tell me if DFO offers this, but I want a game where I can own a house and decorate it how I want.  I want a game where there is a sense of exploration and treasure hunting and where crafted weapons and items give you the best 'stats.'  I never really was deeply into PvP, I did partake in PvP in UO when people wanted to kill me, but I never went out looking for a fight.  If that makes sense.

Sound like you are not sure of what you want. DF wont offer you what you want since you will probably never get your own house. You cannot even build it since you only have to mark your card on 1 of the aivalable house out there. Decorations are not really decortation cuz it only adds new function to your house. Plus, you cant even place them where you want.

In other word, housing in DF are reserved for super rich vets.

Treasure hunting is again, something made up for the vets. You must hunt one of the hardest mob in game in order to get one and it is really rare. For someone like you. Your best bet is to join a clan filled with vets. Go kill bosses with them and your group might receive a treasure map. But again, most vets dont even want to baby sit characters with low stats.

The only real adventure you will find in DF is just like other thempark mmorpg's. Quest lines. Quest in DF are not even worth to do cuz there are better ways to get rich and progressing on skills/stats at the same time. Yep, you have to hunt repetitively the same mob everydays. In the long run, you will figure that DF is not an RPG.

If you just want the pvp to come to yo, id suggest you to join a large clan and you will do good.
