HERCs and cybrids

you know what I miss...HERCs. I was bumed when 2845 was cancelled. I also miss The most badass antagonists ever the cybrids. (HUGE starsiege fan). Since the name of the game is "Universe", that means the game is prety much the eathsiege universe in mmo form, right. (if not my fanhood of ES/SS is blinding me) So its probably safe to say the game will AT LEAST have HECRULANs right. (god I hope prometheus returns however).

I too miss HERCs. I still think of "Tribes" as the Earthsiege universe as my first game in the series was Earthsiege II, the game that came before Starsiege. Sadly, I don't think there's a very good chance we'll be seeing HERCs. Tribes seems to have abandoned the mech origins of the series. But that's just the nostalgia talking. The game won't be good or bad solely based on whether or not HERCs are in the game.
We didn't see HERCs in Tribes because of how far removed they were from Earth. Stuff was bad, way bad, and they were all stealing gear from eachother just to survive.
That's great they have a lore reason, but that doesn't change the fact that they have abandoned the very awesome origins of the series.
