The Secret World: Devs Shift to Fantasy Setting

In an unsurprising announcement, Funcom has revealed that The Secret World will be shifting to a high fantasy setting rather than the less-popular post apocalyptic setting originally planned. The changes came about after player input into market research and from early beta testers. Funcom also announced that the no-class, no-levels system is being trashed in favor of 50 levels at launch with 10 more coming in a later expansion.
"After several intense rounds of closed testing we have identified that people just love orcs and elves," says Senior Producer and Creative Director Ragnar Tørnquist. "Helicopters, assault rifles, government conspiracies and real-world monsters of myth and legend are simply no match for the sword-wielding knights of old. After much internal debate we have decided to move away from the modern-day setting and head in a pure, high-fantasy direction. I am particularly looking forward to playing my Illuminati night elf."

I just read this and sincerely hope its an april fools joke. Otherwise I no longer have an interest in this game.
