Me and my friends wanted to play an mmorpg together. But we don't all like the same ones. So after some time arguing we settled that game must not be: Grindy, item mall orientated, large client, 2d, or cartony. It must be a game for groups to play it. So if its not really that it must have a private server so we can play together. We really liked realm of the mad god because its fast and easy to play together so anything close to that will be good. But any other game would be good. TNX for all your answers and pls help us find this mmorpg.

Well, since you want a tiny client game with private server and you STILL want it to be an mmorpg (somehow...), I think your only option is Magicka. At least it's fantasy, aye?

Lol...not sure this game exists in todays MMORPG market. like the last poster said, a small or private client, isnt something that goes with an MMO...looks like someone just may have to compromise on this situation.
Currently Playing : Rift, EQ2
Has Played: Anarchy Online, SWG(Pre NGE refugee), DAoC, EQ1, EQ2, Lineage 2, CoH, CoV, Horizons, AoC, FFXI, FFXIV, Aion, WoW, DCUO, Matrix Online, Vanguard, Tabula Rasa, LotRo, Fallen Earth, Shadowbane, EQoA, ArchLord
hmm i don't mean like 20 mb i mean not more than 3 or maybi 5 giga. We want an mmorpg, and i think there must be such a game. Not 2d i think that can be found, no cartonny same, kinda not to bad graphic, and wasd movement that are our goals for the game. If there are no private tell game with original servers it will be good. so private server doesen't count anymore.
You should try Dungeons & Dragons online. It's free to play. It does have an item shop, but you can get by for a while without purchasing anything. It's a great group game if you want to be able to log on with some friends, run some missions for an hour or so, and log off. Me and a friend are playing it now, just duoing, and we're having a lot of fun. The dungeons scale to the number of players in your group, so it doesnt matter if you only have 2 or 3 people in your group. There are also different difficulty settings that you can choose for each dungeon/mission. All of the missions are instanced, and easily accessible from the main city area, so you don't have to go running through 5 different zones just to reach a quest-giver. You can download the low-resolution client if you're concerned about file size. And like I said, it's free, so you won't lose anything by giving it a shot.
Try out Everquest 2 Extended. It's free to play and all content (yes, ALL CONTENT for you naysayers out there without a leg to stand on) is free up until level 90, which is the cap anyways.
The only limitations you might find if you play completely for free are lower spell tiers at the much higher levels, and the inability to talk in world chat. All other chat channels (tell, say, shout) work fine.
This game does not cram it's cash shop down your throat. I don't care what other people say, I've been playing it since launch now and have spent grand total 20$, just to unlock silver membership and the Kerra race.
Plus, the client is tiny. It streams everything to your computer. So, instead of downloading 12GB of game content, you download a 140mb installer and it does the rest.
the problem is that me and one of my friends have only 150/kb download speed and 12G would take forever so its a problem...
Have you considered UO? (Ultima Online) It's one of the oldest mmo's out there but If you can get past the graphics (I enjoy them personally) then with a group you guys could have a lot of fun. There are lots to do and many active guild doing events multiple times a week (on Atlantic at least)
Guildwars or DDO. Neither of them are grindy, both of them are very fun to play in groups.
Guildwars cost you some money to start, you need to buy a platinum box (can be found for 30 bucks). DDO is free but it will cost you more in th long run anyways, and GW is a better game.
DDO is very solo unfriendly, GW can be soloed but isn't as fun as playing in a group.
is ultima f2p? because we won't pay for anything.
Ultima isnt f2p, and if not paying anything is the case, then i agree DDO is probably your best bet, as it is possible to play for awhile without spending anything. The sad truth these days though is that for the most part, all f2p games will ALMOST always require you to purchase something with real world currency at some point.

but you want a game w/o an item shop? lol
Remember Old School Ultima Online
DDO is a 4 Gig download, and one of you guys could download the installfile and burn it or bring it on a mem key for your buddy with slow net.
Still, Guildwars is a lot better, if you decide on one of 3 campaigns (avoid factions) you can get it for around 10 bucks each.
Besides those games there are very few choices.
i don't need a game widouth a cash shop just something that isn't pay to win and i the best size would be less than 2 giga it can be a co op game widouth mmorpg because i think that this list won't get much bigger that guild wars and ddo
You could get the DDO client down to 2,5GB by only downloading the low quality textures. It will look crappy of course. I don't think you actually can get a 3D MMO below that, not anything large enough at least.
There are older MMOs that have F2P clients if you run them without the expansions, like DaoC and AO but they are a lot larger downloads.
Maybe you should go for a browser based game instead then?
I think DDO is your best bet, Guild Wars is ok but you have to buy the box and it's not nearly as good as DDO. You might also want to try Vindictus, but I think that's a rather large download.
If you're willing to give naval combat a try, check out Uncharted Waters Online. It's been around for a few years so it's a polished game, but released only recently in NA/EU. It has a very player-controled economy and society, even down to the PvP situations. It's also F2P but doesn't have that pay-to-win feel as there aren't any restrictions to your game play - Basically, we get to ride for free of the success of the game in the Asian market. It's not even that "cartoony" considering its origins.
Hmm DDO seems cool and really great for playing in group but the size is like 5gigs and is it worth it? I mean you all say that you can enjoy it for some time then you must pay. How long do you mean by that? Is it a day or two? Because we really want a game we can play for at least a week? Guild wars is a good game but we all have to agree on it and we don't. So any more suggestions?
You can play DDO for several weeks or more without needing to purchase anything. The only obstacle with the free to play version is that as your character gets to the mid-high levels, the free adventure packs start to thin out a bit, which leaves you with less options. However, you can earn points in the game, wihich can be used to purchase additional adventure packs. I've heard from several people that have spent little to no money and made it to high levels and even max level in some cases.
