Have you ever had an MMORPG nightmare? I did last night.

So my girlfriend slept over like she always does on Tuesday night, and I haven't even played an MMORPG really as of late. I recently tried out rift only to be mildly disappointed, but it is a cool game with potential.
Anyway, last night I had a dream Asheron's Call was wiping all their servers and restarting Darktide and letting everyone start fresh to relive the Asheron's Call experience.
They kept Darktide and Frostfell but added 3 new servers with new functions, one server had special dash/speed and crazy abilities sorta like a AC3 type deal, and one had old school rules, and one had modern rules.
Needless to say this dream felt so real, I even called relatives in excitement to say LETS GO BACK TO AC!! AND then I woke up.
...And AC is still the potential packed game sitting and rotting...
Damnit.

The amount of Auction Houses in some games I've played that don't let you auction... led me to having a dream when I was trying so hard to bid for an item I wanted but some asshats kept outbidding me, and I thought they were outbidding me just for the sake of making me cringe at the skyrocketing price.
I didn't know what the final result was before I woke up >>;; then was like "omg let me log on, let me see if I won the bid- wait no, this game doesn't even HAVE it."

not yet but i had a dream where it is somewhat related to the game that im playing. i guess i played too much! hahaha
Had an incredibly vivid dream 5 years ago, I was partied with a team inside a fantasy dungeon (was like a frozen version of WoW's Black Temple, this was well before tbc was released).
Needless to say the end bosses wiped our entire party in a spectacular manner, as the evil overlord approached me with his massive lightning shrouded greatsword, I woke up.
The dungeon even had a name, which I prompty entered into a google search and yielded nothing (can't for the life of me remember that word....really weird!).
I had a dream AC-Darktide is been shutdown by turbine and they made new AC-Darktide with there new DX11 SUPER GRAHFIC ENGINE with awesome tessallation and perfect anti alising made for 2500 resolution.
Release title: New AC-Darktide Blood awesome HD Gore splendor in 3D!!!

if i play a game for to long i start to dream about it .last ones was left for dead 2 i was dreaming about zombies for days , any one lived in london round about the early 90s The London Trocadero use to have the old vr system in there like the old mech warrior game
one night i had this strange dream i was in the future the old vr system had been improved so when you went online you was playing with millions of people fighting for control for the main city of the country you lived in useing these mech warriors bring on the future
A true VR holodeck type affair would be awesome, Tad Williams describes a VR-mmorpg sandbox game in his Otherland series. It is only a matter of a few decades before this kind of tech becomes available to the masses, just attach a couple of electrodes to your temples and bam! You're there!

Most of the technology already exists but the problem is harddrive space.
Just a good 3D image of you (all around you, great resolution) would take your entire harddrive to store. Once they solve the harddrive thing it might be fast until we get some games but right now it is at least 10 years in the future, probably more. Of course sometimes things move fast.
I never had a MMO nightmare. Any fantasy dream is a good one. In fact all bad dreams I have is about working, dreams about ghosts and weird stuff are always amusing.
lolz.....not wanting to offend you dreamers out there but.....euh.....maybe its time for a break??
When your games are invading your irl toughts subconsciously i would dare to say its realy time for a break....rly
Meh, been having vivid dreams all my life. Sucks to think you have just had a fantastic love life with the lady of your dreams only to wake up to a wet patch in the duvet and the horrid realisation that you're 45 minutes late for work ;p

Had nightmares playing too much Runescape years ago was always same thing too dreaming of dying and losing my best stuff lol i'd wake up sweating and would have to log on to check my stuff ROFL

Remember when i was playing L2 alot back in c2 i think, had a dream where i was the character (silver ranger) stumbled in to some pvp outside Hunters Village and had to pk someone and went red. From behind came this abyss walker and backstabbed me, lost like all my gear and mats i had in my inventory and from nowhere all this ppl came and looted my corpse.
that dream still makes me laugh.
It's funny that u mention that. Because indeed i had and quite a few, not much of a nightmare, but dreams where i was inside my mmorpgs. For example PristonTale i was killing KingHopy =D amazing experience!
I did have a dream of MMORPG most of the time ^^ however, I dreamed about me being the character in Raganrok and I am the strongest with GODLY equips. Just Sharing ^^
Dude, your way addicted playing online games, you should have a break for a while. I did have dreams like that before that's why a stopped for a while. Just like melissa i had a fantasy dream about final fantasy online ROFL yeah!!
P.S. Before sleeping be sure to drink alot of water so that you wont have any nightmares.

I had a dream I was questing with a friend and out of nowhere we aggro'd a sand crab that came out of the ground. None of our magic did anything and he was eating the flowers we were protecting (don't ask) which apparently housed people (Horton hears a Who? I don't know.)
They were screaming.
Everything just got worse and worse and I looked at my friend just as they said "No mana" and the sand crab skewered them... then I woke up.
Yeah, about a week ago. I had a dream that Guild Wars 2 and Skyrim were released at the same time. And I didn't sleep for two weeks and died in my chair, because I had to play both of them and couldn't get off the PC.
Serious dream, actually...sadly enough.
I don't think I actually haven't dreamt of being in an MMO...I have however dreamt of being in the Minecraft world (multiple times), I've had Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Crysis 1/2 dreams as well...never dreamt of being in an MMO though.

It's funny reading your experiences!!~ lol I cannot forget my personal exp when I was hooked playing AO. I had a dream that I was in a battle with my mercs xD It feels like its for real because I was thinking and analyzing the right moves and strategy. then in the morning, my aunt told me when i woke up that I shouted "stun!!" when I was in my sleep

I do dream about my mmo's, but I wouldn't refer to them as nightmares. The weirder/scarier the dream, the better.
