Is it worth it to start now ?
Hey guys, was just wondering, is it going to be worth it, if i buy the game now, and start leveling and all that good stuff now.
By now i mean after the first free month is over, and probably most of the people are level capped till now. Also how are the servers population in the mid level sectors, i mean, are there any people to do dungeons/quests/rifts with or are the servers going empty already ? Looking forward to your responses. Well reguardless of what I say I will be labled a fanboi or hater. If you think you would enjoy playing then yes it is worth it. My counter is that its ONLY been a month there are still many picking up the game and playing it at this point. As well as other leveling alts. The grouping system is designed for you to jump into groups for rifts so that will always be available. But a month in should be plenty of people still playing.
No trolling involved, just memories from DCUO, when after the first month the servers were practically dead, so thats why im wondering.
@Socman75, thanks for the answer mate, i really do hope that there are still people leveling, because a couple of friends of mine told me that its getting really empty and extremely boring to solo level from 15-35 or something in that matter.
I can only say for one server which is one of the most populated. But i know for fact from the forums a few servers still get small queues during primetime. I started an alt the other day and have seen tons of people still in the starter areas. I think this one is gonna do better then AoC and WAR did after the free 30 days ended.

The original servers are all still busy at all levels. Some of the ones added later to absorb the queues that were forming at launch may be not so busy now.
Check this page out to see which servers are busy and which are not. As I write this, a couple of the US servers are listed as full and have queues to join, while others are listed as medium. None are low...........

No! The game has been out for about 3 days. Ofc it's to late to start now. What where you thinking? Why don't you try one of thoes newer games like pacman or missile command?
Yes its deffinetly worth joining right now! i just picked it up last week and having no problem finding groups to destroy rifts and dungeon crawl with. If anything its better than at launch because there are not as many people after the rifts and you get to actually fight the encounters vs zerging them down.

You're a month late. Most people are not level capped yet. There are a lot of people in all zones, at all times of the day. I play between 12-5am due to working second shift and it's pretty common to see raids of 18-24 people when the major invasions take place. Almost all servers range between medium to full during daytime. There are lots of people to run dungeons with. Lots of people to do PvP with.
It's a very polished game. And it's only going to start building steam during this huge world event. Plus, all of the free trials are going out which will draw in even more people. Like I said, starting now is a month too late. But, you gotta start sometime.
To give you some perspective. I'm only level 35. So I'm not level capped, and I think due to my play time during the morning... you should be able to take my word on how well things are going. If I can get huge raids at 5am, you will have no problems seeing those during the day.
Aint that the truth. But, I personally had a full-month + of fun, without a subscription, in Rift. Go for it and try it for a month, though I dont know if new subs have the first month free.
The novelty wore off for me, though the box price I spent was well worth as much time and enjoyment I would have gotten out of a single-player title.

Is it worth playing this now? Absolutely! I just started on Friday and am having a blast.
If you're not playing on the US servers, it looks like the EU servers are all medium or full.

do not compare this game to the garbage that is DCUO. dcuo was bound for failure in the beginning. it never really was a real mmorpg, with that gargage ui and nonfunctional chat system. if they wanna a make a console rpg, then make a proper console pg. dont ever try to pass that garbage off as an mmorpg.

its a new game so there are still quite a few levelling toons.also recently for good or bad ,the last patch made many drop their current class(not gonna say which to avoid a flame war) and are rolling another class .
End result is good for new players since loads to play with and many are experienced players to guide them thru.Heck when i logged into my level 15 rogue i got invited into a guild which was very active formed 2 days ago not recruiting anyone above 20 and there were loads online and many to give advise who either rerolled or were working on alts.
Good grief... games only been out a month. Am a casual player but luvin' it, both missus and myself like exploring the soul trees so loads of newb toons. There are always plenty of peeps still in starting and early levelling areas. Nearly missed this one as I tried and hated the Beta, but glad i gave it a second shot on release. Its a good game with a flavour of its own no matter what the critics say about copying stuff from other games. All MMO's do.
sure. I keep rolling alts., essentially startting from scratch each time. It's busy wherever I go, best game I played in years
Why wouldn't you play? The game is fun! There are SO many class combinations to play! Great graphics, smooth interface, great storyline!
I jus got the game like 2 weeks ago and the population is very good no matter where im at.. And since the events i've actually noticed the population is increasing, or maybe it just seems that way because more people show up for Death Rifts now.. Either way my server still gets que's on fri+sat nights.
