considering they have over 18,000 students, I would say coincidence

People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

    Agreed, with Enigma.

Given the number of students there, without either more suicides on a short interval and/or other data linking the two we have, there is insufficient data to consider this as anything more than coincidence.

Loss of life is never something to simply shrug off, but it happens, and the rest of us must move on.

So you believe the suicide rate is 1 in 9000 at that school, and that's low?

You think 18,000 is a lot of people??????

Wow...just wow... where did you attend university to get your degree in Truthology?

If being a developer means being quiet, mature, well-spoken, and disconnected from the community, then by all means do me a favor and believe I'm not one.

    Suicide pact?

Really it could be anything, or nothing. Either way it's a damn shame they couldn't get the help they needed from anyone..

Average yearly suicide rate in the US for people in the 18-24 age group is about 1 in 10,000.

So no, this does not strike me as being significantly outside of normal statistics, as unfortunate as that realization is.

I understood that, lol. But, I have no idea how to pronounce their last names, nor do I know wtf "Suny Albany" is. I can only assume it's a place at UAlbany or an organization I've never heard of.

What i  looked at  11.1 per 100,000 ,  2 per 19,000 seems to be within the law of averages, at this point in time.

My post still stands, the OP asks for our thoughts and my thought is: "Why should I care about 2 people I don't even know?"

My thoughts as well. Should I fawn over the hundreds of thousands of others who have died of various causes in this world today?

That would make for a very busy day considering approx. 70,000 people die each day.

In America I have bad teeth. If I lived in England my teeth would be perfect.

It is a rediculous waste of life, but I would rather focus my attention and energy on those who actually desire existance, than those that choose to throw it away

Suicides come in waves and tend to follow where celestial bodies are positioned as well as the time of the year and location of the Earth. At least it is something that I have noticed from having somewhere between 20-30 people commit suicide during my lifetime (one time in my house right next to me). It almost always happens as winter ends and Spring begins . .. but depending on the location of the world that you are.

I think that it may have something to do with how people tend to curse or bless the water surrounding them.

Perhaps water crystalizes as it falls from the heavens during the start of winter and brings a time of joy to many (celebration/family/etc.) because the water has been blessed in a sense because it comes from so far above where it is more pure . .. but when it comes down and melts among people it is turned as it evaporates and in some cases it is cursed and as it rises people may feel the effects.

This is a dream that I had recently anyways. Every once in awhile I have this weird attack due to a very rare blood disease that runs in my family and it feels like I cannot stop thinking once in awhile when it comes on strong (esp. while sleeping) and come up with all sorts of crazy theories and just end up ranting like a madman for a couple days lol (or it may seem like to a stranger). This subject was one of my latest rants because I remembered many things that I had forgotten and noticed a pattern . .. and well it would take hours to explain the pattern and the odd coincidences but it would do no good because numbers and symbols can only be understood by a disconnected observer so I wouldn't take any of it for actual truth if you want to just enjoy yourself and be happy (only one number you need to know err feel for that . ... one!). Trust me, you will drive yourself mad.
