Similar to Morrowind? (and other questions)

StupidFoxStupidFox Member Posts: 9

I'm just trying to get a feel for the game before I start the free trial. I was wondering, in what ways is this game similar to and different from Morrowind? The videos I've seen and what I've read about the skill system make it look really similar.

Second, does it seem like there are enough quests and content to keep you busy, or is it more about character interaction?

Third, what is the balance between solo content and group content?

Finally, I've heard the world is a little small. How does it compare to EQ1's size? That's the only MMOG I've played so far.

Thanks in advance!

Never played Morrowind so I couldn't tell you.

The skill systom is customisable, you can balance and edit your skills in terms of cost and content but this doesn't really come into it until you've levelled a bit.

Its not a quests, or instanced quests, game. There is a scattering of encyclopaedia missions that give you new skills or bonuses, these are being added to but quests are not the main focus of the game.

Its much more about character interaction and the RP community is quite striking and welcoming.

It is very much a group and guild based game and you'll get more out of it if you pkay that way but soloing doesn't become painfully slow until about level 150 or so.

The world is faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrr from small. It is enormous, I think whoever made that comment hadn't transferred to the mainland from refugee island or something :)

Mmmh it doesn't look like morrowind at all i think. It's much better ;)
you don't have to buy you're spells with money but you have to earn them by getting enough skillpoints... Eurhm and know I think about it, you only level the skills you use, so in that way it does looks like morrowind ::::02::
Eurhm what else, Morrowind isn't quest orientated... graphics in Ryzom are better then morrowind... ;)
K thats about the most usefull I can say for the moment ;) (little tired now, going to bed :p )

Thanks guys. That reminded me, I hated how you had to buy spells in EQ. It's god to see that this one is different.
