From what i know is that i have tried game after game after game since last year and the only one that has held my attention for at least a month has been Dark Age of Camelot. Now Im new at this game and unlike what most people say you don't need a bot to play, you need to know friends at first, and the game is actually fun. There is a whole bunch of content to it, no bugs(that i have found and is the reason i like the game), and quite a few people that play the game still. Now the game is 3 years old but the are continuing to add content to it and it is really fun to play. Now if you don't want to pay monthly and have friends on to Guild wars id go with that but when you get bored with that at least download the free trial of Doac and try it out for at least a week and you may just get hooked.

    Um
It entirely depends on what you like about any given game
There are free trials for everything out there except WOW right now.
I suggest grabbing them and trying several then buy the one you like.

NEVER buy a game based merely on the suggestion of someone on the boards.

DAOC, EQ2, EQ, AO, AC and a slew of other Mideaval/fantasy MMO's are out there and they all have free trials.

Currently Playing: Dungeons and Dragons Online.
    Sig image Pending
    Still in: A couple Betas

    You said it:

    its really good
Go ahead and try it ! You have nearly nothing to lose except from the initial cost of the game (CAN$50). There is nothing in the same realm that is scheduled to be released in the short term.

    Have fun ! ::::01::

You should get what you think you will enjoy.

Contrary to many people, GW can be a enjoyable game. DAOC is a great choice also and you can try it for 14 days to see if you like (14 days is just enough to barely wet the tastebuds). There is also a trail of EQ2 which i think is a great way to check and see if you like something.

Your choice depends on what you want....

Quests where you can go solo and a fair sized community... GW

Deep crafting and a great community .... EQ2

I do not know much about DAOC .... but it looks nice.

And for those that will whine about me not mentioning WOW, I did not include it due to the fact there is not a demo of it (correct me if I am wrong). But I hear WOW is a decent game also, and it's system req's are modest.

Witty saying to amuse you goes here.

    How about less question marks?

    now that I'm awake...

DAOC is old. Really old. The grind is horrid, and teh graphics aren't much better. If you like games where you spend more time getting to your destination then actually playing once you get there, certainly, this is your game. If you like spending every penny in-game you have just to dye your clothes a color that doesn't make you want to puke....go for it. And if you like soloing for ages because everyone else is either teamed with a bot or enjoying RvR on their capped toon, you might wanna buy this bad-boy.

I've never played WoW....I refuse. But if cartoons are your thing, you might want to look into it....although I hear that there's nothing left to do after two months of play.

Guild Wars.....I don't even consider a MMORPG in teh traditional sense, but I hear it's a lot of fun.

In my OPINION....EQ2 is a well-rounded fun game. Great community, lots of quests, insane graphics, and a very realistic and detailed crafting system. The details in this game are crazy...from the stray cats/pigs/ducks in the streets to the heat-haze rolling off my burning enemies....

negatives about EQ2, although they don't bother me, are the fact that after lvl 20 you are basically forced to group to accomplish anything, and in order to enjoy the game at decent settings, you need a monster gaming rig.

    Good luck in your choice.
