Rifts= dynamic? Not really
All in all a mediocre attempt amd an obvious WoW clone with more polish than previous WoW clones. Rift is about as "next-gen" as Pacman.
5/10.
Here's hoping GW2 doesnt' dissapoint like this uninspired and easily forgettable "MMO".

I don't think many will complain that GW2 is the same old... however, I can see many complaining that the game is no good due to all the changes.
Is it innovate and new ? no . Is it polished and fun ? yes
Everything borrows from previous games and builds on it . That what Rift has done . Either get over it or give up this type of mmo OP . Your most likly going to be disapointed by anything thats released for the next 5-10 years .
I strongly believe that if a few more MMOs launch with the S.O.S. we've played up to now that more players will be more open minded towards an MMO that feels "different".
Change just doesn't happen overnight. It's a gradual process. GW2 just might show up at the right time.
We had some MMOs fall flat because players weren't ready for them, at the time.
i agree..even more its alot like Warhammer with wow / copy paste
and GW2 will more than likely be more of the same..sry to dissapoint but theampark mmo's have become the standerd of the mmo world..its not gonna change cuz its what all dev teams know it sells..its all about the all mighty $$ and they could careless what you like..in their minds its more like " heres our shiney new product < insert title here > now play it " becuse we all need to come to terms with the new norm of mmorpg...there just isnt sandboxes anymore **if there is a new one its never a good sandbox** because no one wants to spend the budget on a high end sandbox ...when devs and companys can make a huge $$ amount on pushing out new shiney theamparks every 6 months + sub fee
as the world has changed...so has the mmorpg world ...its just not the same as it was...and never will be
mmorpg gave it a 8.7 rating or something like that. lol

I can predict their next reviews even before the games are released:
Tera = 8.3
GW2 = 9
SWTOR = 9.3
Arche Age = 7.2
Indie Sandbox = 5.5
Back in theme, I agree with the OP, this game is just disappointing in every department.
you are missing the point. the thread is violating forum rules and should be either locked or merged with the thread dedicated specifically for rift to wow comparisons. the thread is adding nothing new to the table and is basically just SPAM. Just how people making threads entitled "LALALA, I LIKE HOTDOGS" is spam, just like how gold sellers making threads to advertise their site is spam.
edit: to add to your edit. no i am not opposed to negative criticism about the game. i am opposed to useless, unconstructive criticism about that game. even though i am playing it and enjoying it, it does have its faults, many of which could be topics of interesting discussion.

This here is not a fansite, it is a site for finding out about new games. If we all just ranted about how good Rift was, how would anyone know its really not a good game unless you like WoW?
Im sure they have fan sites, where you guys can go and talk about how awesome your game is, and if you feel that way, thats great, but this isnt the place for it.
Rift is nothing new, and if you dont like WoW, dont bother with Rift as its a complete ripoff.
On the other hand, if you love WoW, and are just looking for more of the same, then this is the game for you!
Not everyone can afford to play every new game that comes out, those people need to hear truth about games when they come here, not a buncha fanbois blowing smoke up each others backsides.

If you don´t like Rift ,don´t play it....easy.
I find it very fun to play . Its not a revolution,but who cares,it´s not intended to be...
it´s "just" one of the best Mmoprgs out there atm
