Legal Bounty Hunter? Or maybe . . .

Is it possible to become a legal bounty hunter? Or maybe is it possible to have a crime fighting profession were you can pull off stuff like things that Max Payne, SHAFT, John Woo, Nick Kang (True Crime), that guy from Dead to Rights do?

    not to my knowledge but i do think the Federal Marshalls can generally do whatever the hell they want to do.

    but there are legal bounty hunters they just arent allowed to kill..... and arent allowed to go after really dangerous suspects.

    come to think of it they are sounding more and more like repo men.....

    Bounty hunters are legal, but they have a strictly defined role. They aren't cops for hire or private investigators -- they work at the behest of bail agents. They don't have any more authority than someone making a citizen's arrest.

    There are Parole Enforcement Officers, which is a Bounty hunter, as Kiamde said they work for the bail agents and such, but they DO have more authority then a normal citizen, because there mark has given up all his rights, (Meaning they can enter the home of the target and such)
