I'm trying to spec into a really strong PvP build, could anyone tell me what it would be and why? Also a few tricks to the build so I'm not having to spend hours sorting things out so they're just perfect. As of now I've been using Necro/Lock/Chloro and have been hitting number 1 in DPS and and Kills, but my problem is if I get singled off by ANYONE I die rather quickly. I'm only level 20, so I do not have locks fear ability yet, but I do have Soul Purge so I've been doing pretty good. But I want to find a class that can manage both 1v1 and group pvp, any advice?

pyro and whatever.
cast gos and stand in circle and just pew pew anything u want dead.
that's how trion does pvp
I leveled up Pyro in warfronts with ele/archon, then switched out archon with the archemage pvp soul. I would do excellent . . . but only with a healer next to me. The post just before mine said stand in your circle and just shoot? Doesn't work that way. PvP in Rift is pretty interesting, and despite all the BS, Pyros need support to dps. By the way, clerics will tear a pyro a new one 1 v. 1 because pyros have no cc, and burst through mana like flame would suggest. Their only way to recoup mana is to be out of battle, which can be tricky to get out of in PvP. My PvP pyro is amazing against higher level players. I basically went 6 points in elementalist (i point for iceshield) and 5 in archemage, the rest i went way up the ladder in pyro. Once you get up in the tree your spell casting is quick, your get little perks to your flame burst so you can hit with it like 4 times fast in a row, and your fireball will critical hit a huge amount of the time. That said, everyone and their grandma will be turning you into a squirrel, knocking you back, and pretty much using team work which is how pvp is done best. If you're on the side of battle where no one is communicating, the healer is solo playing in codex, or players go afk, you're gonna lose hard. I feel sorry for the rogues right now in game, but their day will come too. (They need a specific ability that allows them more speed in battle;could be wrong though)
So my advice is to find the play most natural to your style. Trying to find buttons to mash, and figuring out a chain of commands for battle can be tough if it isn't already intuitive to how you play. To sum up, pyros rarely get to just stand and shoot at players. When they do, it's a huge mistake by the other team/player. Pyro specced decently is top DPS in game. Pyro without support though is like the M-60 gunner in Vietnam . . . 30 second life expectancy.
