I have been 50 for a couple of weeks now so I will let people know of what my experiences at endgame is like.
PvE
- Endgame pvp is very group centered, which makes it a different game from lvl 1-49, which can be solo'ed or easily pugged.
- expert dungeons comprise about 75% of endgame content, and can be extremely fun but VERY challenging. normal dungeons are so easy and pointless i actually fell asleep during one. expert dungeons require strategy and a efficient group that knows what they are doing and how to play their roles properly in order to succeed.
- if you dont have a deciated group of friends or a guild, you will get frustrated a lot of the time from trying to find decent pugs that are not inefficient or full of jerks.
- no more linear quest grinding, which means no more exploration, which means less likely to be in the late-game zones to encounter invasions. most of the time you will be in the central town waiting around for a expert dungeon party or WF queue to pop or whacking at practicing dummies to figure out new/better builds.
- essentially no end-game content for solo players.
PvP
- No real point to open world pvp.
- WF is fun until you get tired of the grinding the same maps over and over again. its fun to do once in a while in between dungeon runs, but it really is nothing serious.
- Only incentive is to grind for pvp rank, which at the end is arguably worse than the endgame pve gear.
TL;DR
- PvE is fun for people who like organized grouping but sucks for solo players.
- No real incentive to PvP unless you just genuinely like instanced PvP. Even then there is a limit to how many warfronts u can grind in a day for a reward that sucks compared to PvE rewards.
5 cents
I am thoroughly enjoying the game and dont plan to quit any time soon. the dungeons are really fun and time consuming. With that said, the game does have its flaws, the most glaring being the lack of content other than doing instanced dungeons and instanced warfronts. I also feel that ihe change between lvl 49 gameplay to lvl 50 gameplay is too drastic for most players. By 49 you are already so used to doing everything and enjoyinf the game by yourself and at lvl 50 you suddenly cannot do anything fun without a group. It also gives you the wrong idea of how the gameplay is like after you play for the first month or so and reach max level. Thankfully i realized this before i quit and found a great guild to play the game with, i just hope that everyone will be able to do the same.

Faction reputations to be raised(very important), crafting dailies, raids some of the things you forgot.
He that lives upon Hope dies farting.
So time consuming dungeons, raids, rep grinding, dailies.............sounds like a blast. Oh wait, no it doesn't.
If you like repetative pve this is the game for you!
You forgot to mention the level 50 rift raids.
In my opinion, rifts endgame is really nothing to get hyped up about. Really, its the same thing almost ALL mmo's have (Faction grind, gear grind, raid grind) with a more graphically friendly atomsphere is rifts endgame.
Free to play means pay to win.
Then again I do agree with the fun factor in all of this, just nothing new.
Free to play means pay to win.
did i forget to stress that the expert dungeons are actually fun/challenging?

Glad you are enjoying it.
It's just not for me, I unsubbed - Rift is the same game just in a different wrapper.
Not enough for me anymore.
Hoping GW2, Tera or SWotr will be the next big thing, because Rift is not.
