I miss games with great communities, like FFXI type communities.

I don't think that any will be as good as that tho simply cuz that game forced you to go out and find other people to play with, but oh well...

Any games with great communities like FFXI? I find most game communities to either be filled with assholes, elitists, or groups that don't let anyone else who they dont know in, ORRR it's too split up in the community and everyone is max level and new comers are pretty much fucked since no high levels are nice like in FFXI...

LotRO has a very nice community and is F2P so you could give it a try without being burnt :)

    Uncharted Waters is pretty good.

Haven't played it in a while, but the game is active, the players serious about the game, and the community itself very helpful. People will sail long distances to help others out, and even more so if you are in a company (guild). I joined one on a whim and it worked out well. Also, quests scale in difficulty and rewards based on how many people are in your group, so there is usually many runs going on outside certain ports at all hours of the day. Very deep and fun game, but very time-consuming when it comes to travel.

LotRO is, but I wouldn't sink time into UWO unless I had at least 90 minutes to play. Travel times are harsh, you can get a lot of local quests done in that time, especially around Naples (where closest and most lucrative quests are). Find a group and you can knock out like 6-7 of them in an hour.
