Quick patch updater question

Having finally just bought SWG:TTE, i quickly installed it waiting for the dreaded updating. I am on 56k dialup, and having played last year i found it really playable, and i only needed a 20mb patch from a coverdisc version of the free trial i played last year.
So i get TTE thinking if its only just been released here then i cant have much updating to do, i install it and guess what, 14 hours remaining! Fun, bye bye two days of subscription 
Anyway to cut to the point i would like to know whether files save progress on downloading, for instance, i'm downloading the 17 patch at the moment which is very large. IF half way through downloading it i was to exit the program would my progress for this file be saved or would i have to re-download it from scratch?
Looks like i'm in for a good nights downloading tonight, shame that my pc snores like a bitch....

i think that it saves progress everytime a file is downloaded. Although im not 100% sure, but i seem to remember having the same problem when i had dial up.
