To each their own, this game will not appeal to everyone. ITs just too bad this person didn't give it much of a try. Or if they did they did a woefully pitful job of explaining their reasoning. Sadly most of the reasons you present don't exist for the majority of the playerbase. IE: Its a load of tripe.
Originally posted by exedeath They should make a tutorial on offline training like this. When you choose a tank for example, you enter in a map and shows for example: 1- press for up to go foward. when you press up the game show. 2- press down go backward when you press down the game shows 3 - press z to fire
and this go on until you use all commands of the tank
They do have a manual which lists all of that iirc. There is also the keymapper which you can customize movement and other functions or just look at how to operate the game there.

Can someone explain to me why these graphics look soooooo bad...
Those screens looks nice! For a game with maps of its size that just looks great...lol another negative post making me want to get the game that it was dissing...and umm anyone who has trouble installing, well that a red flag right there. If you can't install a game in this day and age, why in the world should I listen to your opinion?
It's the most ambitious tactical WWII simulation ever. It's already the most immersive tactical-ground-warfare simulation available outside of the military, and it gets better with every patch.
Of course it doesn't appeal to everyone...especially to those who expect games to be "gamey". WWIIOL doesn't make anything easy...not the initial learning curve, not getting kills and staying alive yourself, you name it, it's hard. That guy you're trying to get in your sights, he's another human player, and he and the rest of his unit are trying to kill you. The Rats had to choose whether to make something gamey and commercial, or go for immersiveness. They chose the latter, knowing that some shooter-kiddies would be turned off by it. C'est la guerre.
Originally posted by Fade only problems i have in the game are finding a spawn point where theres a lot of action occuring and like in the case of yesterday (i play allies) finding all battle active spawn points crawling with the enemy.
Coming in 1.19 players will assign themselves brigades but will be able to change brigades freely. You will be able to see how many are in an attacking brigade before you join them. Find a larger group and you are almost assured of action. Most will play in the same brigade day after day so good groups will be easier to find.
How can you not like WWII Online? How can you have trouble installing this game? It is really simple and the nicest thing about it is you can D/L it from the internet.
This game is not that bad, not that great either, but which game is? All games have flaws.
I am not a fanboi of this game, just want to get the facts straight from someone who decided to make a new mmorpg account and bash a really neat fps strategy online game.
So, I say, DAMN you thread starter, you are a complete DUMB ASS!

Easy. To not like the game you have to be a person who likes all the latest games with thet greatest graphics. You have to like running around (no, sorry, jumping around) and coming back and being killed in a repetitive motion.
You have to be able to play a game where you can take 100 shots in the head before you die, and if you only took 99, then the other player was cheating.
You have to be able to take your plane off on a runway less than 20m long.
This game really sounds awesome. Sounds intense and hardcore (and thus requiring skill). Hmm... I never play two games at once... I guess ill take the trial and see if I decide to come over. Me and my friends decided to play something else over summer, but if for any reason that doesn't pan out Ill definately come here with all 30+ of them:).
30 is a good start for a squad in this game and if you're coming from Planetside (gauging by your picture on the left) you should have good grounding in team tactics which help immensly.
Originally posted by luzarius I bought this game and let me tell you. I dont' even think... 1) Installing this game was very difficult for me, because I am a bit stupid. 2) Logging into the game was very difficult for me, because I am a bit stupid. 3) Once logged into the game figuring it out was VERY difficult for me, because seriously... I am a bit stupid. A MANUAL, how complex can they get?!! 4) Once your actually in the game I just get confused and I have no pretty pictures to look at. Where are the bunnies and flowers?
Just ran it through a translator
"This is not a game to be tossed aside lightly. It should be thrown with great force"
My sub for WW2OL ran out about a month, a month and a half ago. I miss it.
I'm playing WoW at the moment (barely have time to play 1 MMO let alone 2 at the same time) but when my sub to WoW runs out in a couple of months I hope to get a new one for WW2OL again.
It's my favourite game. There's nothing like deploying your MG34 on a roof top and holding back the Allied hordes!
I joined last september. I found the installation easy. I found logging in easy. I found the learning curve to be a nightmare but it was still fun. I didn't want a game where I could bunnyhop and shoot straight. I wanted a realistic WW2 game where I feel like a pawn.

You have to be Jon Rambo, and expect the outcome.

When will people ever realise that this is not an arcade game?
