Free Trial Weekend to blame for resurgence of server ques?
It has been a long time since i've seen a server que message. If this new influx of players really is from the trial, subscribers really should've been given preference over the free-trial folks, probably would've gotten in faster.

Once again, despite boasting about the experienced development team they have, Trion comes off looking like a bunch of clueless amateurs. Scott even posted on the forums ahead of the event for people to expect queues. The real clincher, though, was when they decided to update the servers in the first half-hour of the event. Guess what happened to all those paying customers who had been sitting in queues when those servers went down. Yep!

Why would they make the people they are trying to get to buy their game wait longer than those who already spent their money and made their decision on it?
Must suck to be an American. :P
I decided to give this free weekend a shot and even during peak times most of the EU servers are on Medium pop. Kinda boring though, since I hoped on a PvP server as a Guardian and still haven't been ganked.
Because MMORPG gamers are fickle...there's a bunch of games to choose from and if I can't log in to play a game that I pay for, I'll go somewhere else. It's not like RIFT is a ground breaking game....it's new and it's fun and that's why I play it....but maybe not much longer.
Customer service is everything...and Trion is going to lose big this weekend.
Just wait until the free trial is over and see what the server pop is like then.
Free weekend + phase 2 event = full servers lol..
glad i didn't have to wait through que's as i was waiting for phase 2 to begin at 12:45 and logged in at 12:42 and got in before the crowd.. Beat a few phase 2 bosses.. got a nice weapons cache with some kick ass event weapon
