The Arena.Net blog post has been updated with a new piece called "Writing the Charr" penned by Writing Team member Scott McGough. Included in the behind the scenes look at the creation of the Charr are sound files to give listeners an idea of what Charr society and Charr voices sound like.
Virtues and Vices
Our world designers and writers approach the charr with a certain amount of gusto. After all, it’s just plain fun to write for the bad guys, especially when you get to explore their point of view, in which they’re the good guys. We know some people will feel a lingering resentment of the charr—probably because of that whole Searing thing—in addition to the gleeful anticipation of getting inside their fur, so our guiding principle for writing them has been to delve into some of the unexplored charr virtues (industry, discipline, fearlessness) along with their well known vices (aggression, bloodthirst, and ruthlessness). Balancing the admirable traits with the fearsome ones allows us to present a more complete picture of charr society without negating or retconning their violent history.

Love how they don't know what a "cheap kill" means. A kill is a kill. Although, I do wish that Charr females had a more gravely voice to them as well.
Some good quality in the VO and the Charr males esp. have a lot of gravel in their windpipes is good to hear as you'd expect of a monster that towers over an average human. It must be a tricky balance speaking so the communication is clear and not hamming it up too much as a big lump of a cat?! The writing is solid too and the number of samples show off a lot of different topics eg Ghost of Ascalon and Fahrar cubs etc.

Yeah, some of the female voice actors need a bit more gravel in their windpipes but apart from that, great voice work and I can't wait to experience the 60 feature films worth of dialogue in the game.
Iron Legion FTW. ^_^
Blasphemey!! ASH LEGION FTW.
Yh same to say as everyone else. Female charr voices yadyadyadah.
hehehe,hahahahaHAHAHAHA
laughing Hyena, get used to it -_-
blood legion for me. I like all the voices, they are the best so far.
I used to TL;DR, but then I took a bullet point to the footnote.
Ash Legion, beginning to build up a picture of the major story arcs each race can choose. The Ash Legion will likely involve subterfuge missions and recon. and even assassination? (may have to double up as Ash-Thief in that last case...) *Licks wet chops*.
