DO they even need to aim or do they really get splash damage!
And my gawd I snuck into their world and that Anti Tank weapon is full auto with a 20 round clip! You can also easily kill regular soldiers with it!
Man, the VANU OWN hard core unless you got the numbers. But playing the TR on Emerald we never have air cover and facing 8 Reavers, Vanu weapons, 4 BFRs and the high firing Vnaguards, feget it!

Splash damage does little dmg realy, its good in tight places but if u rely on splash dmg to kill ... then you are a dead man. Lancer is OK AntiVeh, I like TR better becuase u get lock on, u can shoot whatever, vehicles, maxes, air and you dont have to stay in place - so you are a harder to hit target.
Phoenix has its own advantages and so does lancer. All weapons have their strength and weaknesses.

They nerfed the TR Stryker, the range on it is horrible now. We used to be able to at least harass Liberators but now, we cannot even get a lock on them.
Um, which Vanu weapons get splash damage? The Lasher lashes, but doesn't splash. Because of this, it's deadly in long hallways, but I'll take an MCG outside or a Jackhammer in the CQB of a tower any day.
And the VS AV weapon, The Lancer, has a 6 round clip, requires LoS to the target, and has a .5 second delay on firing after the trigger is pulled. It is the hardest of the ES AV weapons to master, but once you do it can be quite effective.
All in all, the empires seem quite balanced to me. After 2 years the empire populations are still within 1 or 2 percentage points of one another at prime time. That's a pretty good sign of balance.
I dunno why people say Vanu have it easy. Lasher is great defending tight corridors, but once thats out of equasion, then Vanu get in trouble because Jackhammer is realy deadly up close if you know how to use it. MCG is great outdoors from a distance. I never try to outshoot MCG with my lasher, if I see terran outdoors, I run or hide and get him closer. Even then its hard to hit becuase lasher isnt fast, so I miss a lot, MCG bullets are flying ultra fast so there is no worrying about calculating where your target be in the next second.
About lancer, I dunno what people find so great about it, you gotta pretty much aim at stuff, TR have it easiest, you aim in general direction and you can run, strafe and hide while your launcher is locked. Phoenix has it even better at base defences, you just hide behind a wall and shoot. Although rate of fire is much slower but you are at a safe place.
Each faction has its ups and downs, vanu are good at defending corridors, NCs are great at assaulting at point blank range and TR are good pretty much everywhere, but mostly outdoors.
