I will quote the same exact thing I posted on BG. This is my personal quick translation of the patches we're going to be seeing in May, and then some. : )

Destruction of the Beasts (TERA Online's first major content patch, due May)

-Level cap raising.

-New continent and monster appearance.

-More variety of items appearing.

-New skills added.

-Improved user comfort and gaming systems.

(Level cap increase)

-Level cap limit will be raised: 50->58

-Level cap 60 will be saved for future updates.

-Server VS server confrontation.

(Story/Bestiary)

-Opening of the northern continent, Syara.

-Argon and border in affected areas devastated by war.

-Jeontuhyeong fortresses city concept.

-Kai commander found dead to begin new story line.

-10 fields added. 4 dungeons added.

-Added new estates, 3 places.

-Tomorrow, throughout regular updates, the difficulty of Akasha's Lair will be lowered.

-New BAM in form of Chimera(manticore?).

(Items)

-Physical changes on current equipment will be made, while maintaining the effectiveness of the look.

-Adding the dye system, the stack of dye can be used to adjust equipment.

-Enhancing system will be adjusted(weapons level 7 or higher will now have a glow effect).

-Adding new equipment more powerful than current equipment.

(Skills)

-Adjustments to Warriors(defense?) are being implemented.

-Srocerer's practical effect(base attack?) will be enhanced by powerful region dealer.

(UI and System)

-Added BG rankings

-Improvements will be made to AH.

-Improvement will be made to production convenience.

-Improving ease of personal shops.

-Improving Archer damage stream, along with rakon healing skill.

(Updating progress schedule)

-STEP 1: OBT/Retail(January)

-STEP 2: Destruction of the Beasts(update)(May 2011)

-STEP 3 :Fragment of a dream(update)(Within 2011)

-STEP 4: Praia (implementation)(Within 2011)

-STEP 5: Give Switch Ark(2012)

Confrontation -> Large scale PVE -> Large scale PVP -> Politics improvements.

From there, it goes on talking about the future updates they have planned for TERA throughout the rest of 2011 and into 2012. They mention advancements in large scale cross server confrontations, large scale dungeon and open world boss battles, and much, much more.

Praia and Ark talk in that article seems to revolve much around aerial cities, and aerial fortresses.

Mind you, TERA also patches the game every single Wednesday, here in the states.

This is not the 100% accurate translation of the patch notes, as I left out all the words and sentences that made absolutely no sense. A better translation should be out sooner than later, hopefully, but this is the best I could do. :3

There are three kinds of people in this world. The one's who can count, and the ones who can't.

Hopefully it means we will get Destruction of the Beasts patch when the game launches in the west.   Will just have to wait and see I guess.

Here is the full translated version from terafans.

Looks like a ton of pvp content will be added and the political system looks to be based on the Roman Empire or perhaps modeled after the Roman Republic because they do mention that a Consul will be elected sometime at the end of the year.

Raising the level cap in a "Content Update" rather than an "Expansion" is pure win!

     agreed

nobody is gonna play Tera when GW2 is F2P especially since they both cater to the same fantasy crowd. SWTOR will also be a huge competitor for subscriptioners.

Releasing early to beat GW2 and SW:TOR to launch would be even worse.

Yeah, that caught my eye as well.  Cross server PvP is complete trash, destroys the community on the servers.  Let's hope that TERA will have plenty of incentives to keep open world PvP boomin'.  But yeah, pretty gay.

Learn to read imo. It's server vs server not mixed ones like WoW bgs, which if done correctly enhances the community rather than ruining it.

It's not ready.   Tera needs to launch with lvl60 content or atleast have lvl60 content ready to be patched in when westerners start hitting lvl50.
