Looking for an mmo with crafting skills that level up as you create or gather, like runescape.
must beable to take all crafting/gathering skills without limits though, game will end to fast for me if it's limited :P
pvp would be nice..just few options such as world pvp duels ect
i've looked at vanguard SOH so far to be one that i might try, but some games on the stickies in this forum might be missing so i'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestion for me to try, thanks.
combat is a must, one mmo i think is named tales in a desert, has a very deep crafting system but when i heard about no combat at all..was turned away very fast.

Haven and Hearth.
Mortal online is prettymuch like Elder scrolls oblivion with a in depth crafting system... It's extremely realistic and has a very immersive crafting system.. You might want to check it out.. It's p2p but theres a 14 day free trial.
did look at mortal online and had everything id want in mmo..but then doing research i found out the company running it would take ur money faster than you could even click the pay button.....everyone seems to say that the company is bad and is taking the game into the wrong direction...also fact tha games been in beta for how long now? >.<
I'm not sure where you've heard this, its actaully pretty stable now. I also don't get why your saying thier greedy. They have a new expansion comming out next months that sounds awesome and they are takinging the game in a good direction.
At least try the trial and see what you think, thiers alot of negativity on mmorpg.com for MO for some reason so don't let that turn you off.
i admit its not really me saying it...but when more than 1 person says the same thing most the time its more than likly true...i also remember reading a thread once about how the company screwed over people who worked for them..cant remember where it was but anyways. i dont mind giving it a shot just dont want the rumours i've heard so far to be true:P
I just tried the Mortal Online trial and I have to say it's not that great. Unless I'm doing something wrong, and, with the lack of information at character creation, I probably did, there's no way to choose what kind of combat skills you want to start with. I want to be a mage, but even after putting all my points into intelligence and psyche, I start off with a sword and a pick axe. No reagents, no nothing. It's definitely not like Oblivion.
In terms of stability it seems that there is a brief (<1 second, but still perceptable) lag between your weapon hitting something and that something reacting to it; Some other things that I noticed that really annoy me are:
The terrain textures don't load properly unless you are standing right on top of the terrain, the buildings and plants have staticy artifacts, the character models are pretty bad for an UE3 game (I'd say late ps2 era), the weasals contorted like they were made of geletin when they died.
I basically put in about 10 minutes of playing around with the buttons, realising that my character could do practically nothing but swing a sword or axe, killed a few weasels and logged-out. I'm sure it gets better, but I don't want to grind just to start having fun. That's why I can't play one of the so-called "themepark" MMOs. I don't need my hand held, but scratching my head and trying to figure out what all these arbitrarily named things actually do isn't fun (Yes, I pressed "H" and read through that).

yea i was actually just downloading mortal online then started to read threads on the site, stuff about how buggy it is still..i know its beta but not paying for a game where its as buggy as that....
also fact that your limited to how many skills you can max, you can learn any skills but cant max more than 10.
you have 1000 skill points max, skils need 100 to reach max, means you can max total of 10 skills...>< not really my thing, i dislike being limited for no reason at all, yes it stops endless grind but if players want to spend 99% of there time crafting and gathering then they deserve to beable to make everything and gather everything, shouldnt be a limit tbh![:o :o](http://3.19.0.2/resources/emoji/open_mouth.png)
EDIT: most players would probably just create other chars to use for crafting, so one for fighting and few for crafting, but whats the point of limiting players to 10 skills to max? there is no reason, people just go out and max other characters to use for diffrent things, so instead of 1 character maxed with everything, they have 100000000 of them...joy ><
The trial is free, though, so there's no reason not to give it a shot if you don't have a cap on how much you can transfer a month. I think my expectations are a bit too high, though. What I really want is an MMO that has the same kind of atmosphere and humor as games like Fallout 3/New Vegas. Where I can go up and NPCs will say random stuff and sometimes ask me to do a little side quest for them. Keep things from constantly being the same grind over and over.

yea MO is pretty much everything i'd want in an MO, and reading the new things coming in exspansion seem awesome like for example, mailing, you don't just mail it like other games, a PLAYER actually has to deliver the postage to the towns in order for those players to get the mail ect, thats one of the things i've ALWAYS wanted in an mmo just to see if it was possible.
just then it comes back to the bugs, its still beta, more bugs, its still beta, paying for beta if i do fall in love with it, then, the cap limit on skills![:( :(](http://3.19.0.2/resources/emoji/frowning.png)
