How did you do that exactly? Nobody else can even load the game, yet here you are telling us you've just created 2 toons on Starsider and activated 2 accounts?

I'm sure people who are unable to login (everyone but you apparently) is anxious to hear how you did this.

Servers were online at the weekend, and probably posting because he can not play - the same reason why I'm here -  he says in his post he is annoyed about the downtime and feels sorry for Sony

    Thank you for guessing.

I was asking him though, since only he knows for certain.

Sorry about the delay in replying; i've been travelling - it takes a while to fly half way round the planet...it's a big planet.

I resubscribed on 27 April; and started my two avatars on starsider that weekend. So, the PSN was down, but SOE was still up and running - then, SOE went down, which is when I was scrambling trying to find informaiton about why I couldn't connect-  thinking it was 'cuz I was in some backwater 3rd World country, and actually not SOE. SOE really doesn't give out information, do they? Their customer service really does need some work....that's why my entire guild up and quit a year or so back - bad Customer Service.  Anyway, since I was searching for information this website actually had some - or , at least, speculation. Which is when I signed up! Glad to be here.

    Hi Everyone!

SOE...huh....some piece of work there; all those players who are suffering from possible ID theft, all of us players desperate to get back in game and online, and still no information or anything resembling at least a possible time line.

So, resubscribed on 27 April, got to play Saturday, Sunday, and teensy part of Monday, and then, bam. So, yes, SOE did take my money even though they were well aware of the PSN problems by then, and allegedly unaware about the SOE issues until Monday.  So I'm off to LotRO and EVE.

So, since SWG is out, what's everyone else doing?  I can highly recommend EVE -....if you want to die a lot.  Then there's always LotRO.

Thanks for coming back to follow up :)

And thank you for answering my question.

I've resubscribed to SWG. The despair of crafting in every other MMO has finally taken its toll. I love LOTRO - possibly one of the few people to love LotRO, but their crafting is not like SWG's. WoW's and its vastly new and improved 'competition game', RIFT - AKA WoW 2011) - also have mediocre crafting (Rift's crafting panel is in fact quite unpleasant - LotRO's crafting panel at the least  has a certain elegance).   Of course, EVE's crafting is rather complicated and fun, but it requires a lot of ...effort ... and, well, there's a certain amount of terror involved playing EVE, especially if you are a lone industrialist just trying to make one's way in New Eden.

Which brings me back to Star Wars Galaxies. I've terminated my WoW and Rift subscriptions. I've left my kinship in LotRO and will minimize my time there - mostly to pay the rent and since I've 3 lifetime accounts there it's not like I need to unsubscribe.  I will still play EVE - their crafting is fun and my avatar is at a point where I feel I am contributing - quite a lot, actually, but the siren song of SWGs crafting system has me enthralled.

So, 2 accounts reactivated. I've created some new avatars on Starsider as it has been locked and am unable to transfer my level 90s there. This is okay, and am having a blast starting to level a new Medic from scratch. Starsider is busy - tonnes of players in Mos Eisley.  Also have a CL90 Entertainer ready to go on Starsider as well. I'm having a great time....well, it would be better if I could actually get online, but...that's another thread - on the one hand, I feel bad for SOE, on the other, I'm quite annoyed...

        Down to my questions:

1 - my new medic on Starsider is looking for a guild...anyone have advice about an Alliance-leaning guild or mixed? I can also bring in my CL90 Entertainer.

2 - I have a few CL90 avatars awaiting transfer off Bloodfin; what sever(s) have a higher population? I'm considering Europe-Farstar as I'm deployed overseas, but, am also looking at Chilastra - as I know that eventually I'll head back to the States.

I'm excited to be back! Thanks for taking the time to read this post and looking forward to hearing your advice.

Flurry is a well populated server and is getting more so with the free server transfers...... Flurry is getting ever more popular as the server of choice now that Starsider is closed to FT. Flurry boast some great PvP and are always looking to spice it up more with new/old people returning.

If your looking for more info look Chipx, Chipz or Chipy up on Flurry once SOE puts this mess behind them and servers are up and running. I would be glad to assist you in any way I can.

The answer is NO,  the combat is still the same as it was when they went to the NGE, if you hated it then you will hate it now.

Besides were not sure theres going to be any games online for a week or maybee two weeks.  After the database was hacked. Were still down, all soe products.

eh..wrong..it is different then when the nge hit lol..when nge was released it was basically 100% free targetting..completely retawded gameplay..one of the million reasons i quit for 9 months when it was released..it's not like that anymore

swg is a decent game and has improved GREATLY (since the nge hit) from the day nge was released..and the few devs we have actually do some pretty good updates and nice adds to the game..course when tor comes i will prolly cancel swg for a tleast awhile to try it out..but other games i've tried are stupid elves/swords and bows and crap..

as far as this hack killing swg i lol at that..it's not gonna happen..swg is way more alive then u think..so funny that six years later some ppl still post how butthurt they are over nge..it's life ppl..@#$% happens..

    i don't know jack..but i know his sister :)

the likelyhood of them ever coming back after Sony's latest debacle just became even more remote.. besides.. its long past time that SWG was buried.. the games been effectively dead for years..  doesnt matter how much the combat has changed really.. the big issues were to do with the levels rubbish and the removal of 90 percent of the professions..  i'd be very surprised if even 50 percent of the remaining playerbase returns when Sony eventually decide to put their network up again..  as for the  @#$% happens.. like SOE.. you just have to know when to flush.. and this is one steaming pile that definitely needs the 'chain pulling' on it..image
