Hey guys first post here, been browsing the website for quite some time and it appears to have some great information. I really want to try something different.. ive played wow for a few years but cancelled my subscrip. a few months ago, Im so over that game. Used to play guild wars...gw2 isnt up yet though. I currently play the heck out of starcraft 2 and have since the day it dropped but i really want something differnt.
So basically Im signed up for the APB beta and hope I get in (but im not counting on being in the beta as many people will not make it). And since the game isnt up for actual retail yet..if I dont get beta Im stuck. Does anyone have any good first hand knowledge on CrimeCraft?
I also just purchased DC Universe Online..and of course cant play since SOE isnt up and running yet. (Havent even installed game yet).
Any suggestions at all.. kind of eyeing APB, Global Agenda, CrimeCraft
Thanks in advance.

Global Agenda is always a good time killer. It's free, so there's no loss if you don't stick around long term, and you could always just fork out the ten dollars to upgrade to elite agent if you want to start getting loot drops.
Free how? Is it free to DL and play or you just mean theres no subscription?
Darkspore not really my thing.. more into traditional MMO games.. but thanks for suggest.
Hmm.Traditional + action? Something like DCUO or TERA?
Hmm..Thats tough. I guess Darkfall would be one...
Im not sure what else though sorry x.x

Yeah im really intrigued by DCUO..ive actually purchased it. but cant play it yet :-( damn hackers
Vindictus..I will check out right now..
Also is there some type of "quick reply" usually they are at the bottom of the forums pages so you can read above posts. Maybe Im missing it (I hate clicking "reply" as it takes you to a new page where you type w/o being able to see previous posts)
I would also recommend Vindictus.
Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned.
Both, client d/l is free and it is f2p. There are some limitations on free agents, but not much. The big ones:
You won't get access to the auction house. Not that big a deal, the game's economy is almost non-existent anyway.
You won't get the random loot drop after a (winning) PVE/PVP mission. That is what made me have to buy elite agent, the need to get new stuff and watch my robo's turret damage rise a little. Guess it is conditioning from playing RPGs for so long.
EXP/credit/token gain rate is stuck at the base level. Not as annoying as it sounds, leveling doesn't really do anything for your skills past 20, and gear/level is a very minor part in PVP competition. That and it really isn't necessary to buy anything from the higher end vendors until you hit the 30-50 bracket anyway, so tokens are a give or take.
There is some minor other stuff too, it's all in the site's FAQ. Oh, also inventory is shared among all your characters. Something that struck me as way too convenient to not have as a feature in more games.
So its free to DL and play? Cool.. any servers you recommend? also.. Ive watched a bit of gameplay footage.. is it just a few arenas over and over again or do you actually feel as if youre progressing?
It's primarily a lobby game with matchmaking for pve or pvp. There is a small classical MMOish area that gets you to 20 with quests and such, but the vast majority of the game is carried out with instanced randomized maps. It is still a shooter at heart, so it isn't everyone's bag, but it can be fun if you know what you are doing. An intuitive player comes out on top every time.
Also there's only one server, with players being divided into instanced copies of Dome City (the lobby), or Sonoran Desert (the solo PVE zone) seemingly at random, though you can freely switch between them to meet up with friends if you want.
Alright Ill give it a go, where can I DL?
The website is http://globalagendagame.com/. If you end up wanting to get the elite package, find a coupon code from someone on the forums or in-game before buying it. There are literally dozens of them floating around.
Lol how exactly should I go about obtaining a coupon code? I doubt if I make a thread someone will send me one?
Oops, I meant on the GA forums. They made a sticky thread devoted to it back when the f2p conversion was announced, and it has filled up with pages and pages of them. Just find one to copy and paste, and if it has already been taken, try the next one. You could probably find people in the city chats that would be more than willing to message you one, seeing as they have an achievement for using up your codes that gives you these goofy little paper bag helmets for your character.
Yeah...lol those forums look dead for sure.
What other games you play?
Check out Dragon's Nest. It's like Vindictus but in a more traditional fantasy setting. I like it a lot, and I think the fighting system is better. It's F2P, but you'll have to register for the Chinese version, as it hasn't been released in the West yet, but there is an English patch you can download that makes the game perfectly playable. Here's a link explaining how to register and play:

Not many people post on them, but that one sticky is for sure there.
I don't play anything else atm, other than the occasional bout of Empire Total War. It fills a niche need that arises when I wonder what the world would have been like had it been unified under the flag of a nation that no longer exists (:D!).
