Pretty sure Trion is going to try to scam me out of month sub

I have been trying to cancel my account. Trion has removed the button I did use, which was a cancel button that was har dto find. But now there is not even that.
There is no way for me to cancel my subscription.
I understand where they're coming from from a finanancial standpoint but doing things like this is not a great ticket out, even if it had worked for others, like say the guys at darkfall who "accidentally" charged everybody 3-months one month, probably when they ran out of cocaine and needed to buy some more.
But from a consumer perspective, this of course sucks. Trion dillwadiddies got my info, bro. Not that there's much to be had from me. I feel bad for people that have large bank accounts that are giving information out to people who are clearly unscrupulous.
Live and learn, I suppose.

Try again. I cancelled my subscription last night with no problems whatsoever. Manage Games>Change Subscription>Cancel Subscription. The link is small, but it's right under the prices.
Lies. There is a button(jsut checked). Try reloading your browser or something.
Cancel button is to cancel making changes. Confusing, I know, do like they said above and manage game/subscriptions or whatever.
Took a look at the account site myself. Took less than ten seconds for me to find the cancel link right under the three pricing choices. Sorry but it sounds like your problem is coming more from lack of patience than from their site layout.

cancelled my account last night exactly where everyone says. once you click on confirmation it states you wont be charged from a certain date
I cancelled mine a little while ago, and should be last day on the 12th, but I can no longer enter now....

For people posting here and are (supposedly) MMO veterans, this is quite a beginner's thread. Was Rift your first MMO?
In any case, in order to find what you can't, please follow the steps below:
Go to your Rift account page (should be https://session.trionworlds.com/login?service=http%3A%2F%2Frift.trionworlds.com%2Fj_spring_cas_security_check).
Insert login and password
There should be a column on the left side. Go to "Manage Games"
On the bottom right corner a button should appear that says "Change subscription". Press it.
Press the cancel button to cancel subscription

{mod edit} I've played MMO's for over 10 years and got an email from Trion yseterday saying they have tried to charge me but it failed, so that has nothing to do with it. The reason for me was because i used paypal as payment and cancelled the sub through paypal. The buttons are hard to find, and the cancel button i used did nothing on the management page. Pressing delete next to listed payment method didn't work either. As long as you cancelle in paypal its fine, as you have proof you ended the sub.
No, it was 5th or 6th, don't remember now (and not counting MUDs).
As you have seen by my answer I offered step by step instruction on how to unsubscribe. Which is more than anyone else did on this forum, including you.
In any case, I would have been more inclined to believe that OP has an actual real problem, if the title of this thread was not so ridiculoulsy melodramatic. And deceiving. It's no harder unsubscribing from Rift than it is from Aion, WoW or any other MMO out there.
The purpose of the thread is to start drama. It harkens back to when Warhammer removed their cancel subscription button on their website when Rift came out.
The idea is to get people thinking that Trion Worlds is attempting to make it harder for people to cancel their subscriptions because the game is losing tons of players.
Obviously I could be wrong and the OP just couldn't find the really obvious manage accounts button.

Alternatively, I believe you could have contacted their support team to get your subscription cancelled.
Ironically I'm having the opposite problem, for some reason Trion's automated billing process isn't accepting my valid credit card as payment for this month's renewal. Its been 2 days now and still no fix, though it looks like some folks having the same problem have been restored. Oh well, while I wait for Trion to fix their billing I'll just hop over to the EQ progression ser ... damn!
It is a new mini game they have implemented. As you move your mouse pointer towards the cancel button, the button moves out of the way. You need an epic level mouse pointer, which you can only get in end-game raids, to be fast enough to actually click cancel...

I don't know if they changed it, I used to play phantasy star universe on the xbox 360, that game was hard to quit, seriously no way to quit via xbox interface, HAD to call xbox support.
There is nothing wrong with Trions web layout.
