Ye good luck with that. People use it mainly for mmo's they don't like. Expect it to start seeing it used in other fields to just express something you don't like.
I prefer "EQ clone" as they are all clones of that terrible combat and quest driven shite
LOL, well if EQ1 was a quest driven game I suppose you'd be correct, but WOW really brought the quest driven character progression to the mainstream (AC2 actually had it first) so I'll stick with the term WOW - clone instead.
However these days I've taken to using "standard theme park MMORPG design" in order to prevent threads from going off topic debating this particular point.

That is called censorship and is against our constitutional rights.
You realise that all posts here are stored on MMORPG.com's servers. You're completely free to submit ANYTHING to those servers. They however are also free to remove, edit or simply not accept anything you've submitted to those servers.
So unless your constitution includes a specific ammendment detailing that MMORPG.com isn't allowed to edit, remove or reject any information stored on their own servers then your constitutional rights are fine.

Good luck with that.
In case you didn't notice, every MMO that was released after WoW is a "WoW clone". Also some that were released before it.
Get used to it.
Resistance is futile.
And so they start, the wow clone wars.
That is called censorship and is against our constitutional rights.
And how do you sugest to enforce that, if a consensus is reached?
petition to boycot all WoW clone MMOs.
This is an international forum.
Just saying ...
And I got no clue what your constitutional rights are.

Part of our constitutional rights is the ability to pretend like either
1. People from other countries don't actually exist
2. People from other countries exist, but they don't count
or
3. People from other countries are basically Americans with funny accents.

If only it was so simple to get rid of that highly overused cliche which is what it's turned into.
You might want to petition to get rid of the word troll as well. It is another highly overused term on the forums as well.

Instead 'themepark MMO' should be used, because they mean the same MMO's that are talked about.
Won't happen though
