It's curiosity. People like to know what others are thinking, and perhaps why they want to play the roles they do, which was perhaps a better thread, but likely what was in the mind of the OP at the time.
Most of the time it's just because people like chatting, even when it's completely pointless to do so.

Actually, other than thinking why they want to play the roles they do.

*cackles.*
Though the disturbing part is how often I get told that I'm worryingly clairvoyant, or found that I've said exactly the same as another before they've said it, it's a common occurrence for me. It's actually part of the reason I'm going to roll a Mesmer, just for the amusement value of how it tends to fit my own ability to beat people to the punch. >_>

I'm thinking an Asura engineery type. Golems to go!
Though playing a naive Sylvari pod person sounds like it could be a blast.
I tend to go melee, but I am pretty decent at support and crowd control, just has to be an interesting set up.
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.

Haha, best reason to roll a Mesmer ever!

Mainly a supporting role. I only make front lines when I am solo.
