Starting out noobie

in Guild Wars

Hey all, i think im going to try out the game of Guild Wars. If you would like to post any good starting out roleplaying classes they would link..

 

I want a character that can tank, nuke, and do everything else!!!

    well, you can't have a character that can do *everything*. what would be the point.

    if you want to be a tank mainly, start as a warrior, then later pick elementalist as secondary profession

    if you want to nuke mainly, start as an elementalist. then pick warrior as secondary

    you can indeed be a tank-mage, but bear in mind that a warrior/elementalist will be a good fighter but not so good nuker. and elementalist/warrior will be great nuker, not so good fighter

    i think elementalist/warrior would be the best choice.

    Element for Nukes

    Warrior for tank

    Like posted above you would be able to do everything, otherwise the classes would become unbalance and that is one of the best parts of this game is the fact that it is such a good balance between classes. But if you want both then i would be a war/ele, this could be still a good spec to tank with due to the fact that Earth Magic in the Elementalist part does have many wards and other armors to put on your self. Plus moves like earthquake (aoe) where you would need to get close to use, but since you a warrior that would be no problem... My vote goes to War/Ele and raised Earthmagic as you secondary.

    But if you decide you just want one or the other... (nuker or tank) Then the best nuker would be a fire elementalist and the best tank would eaither be a w/mo or a w/ne.

    Wow, you sure have big expectations for this game, and I mean big.

    You'll be lucky to tank alone, as well as try and do everything at once..

    I'd suggest a W/E for tanking / nuking, not sure how'd that work though.

    Why do you make it sound like the game is sooo hard to solo in. Its probably as easy as any other kind of game...image

    Monk can "tank" yay for heals and reactive heals, nuke "smite shiz", and do most everything else. All at a reduced capacity O.o or a very specific one.

    monk can heal but cant tank , dude,

     

    at the crystal desert, monks are killed by jades and hydras attack

    DUDE! Nothing.. Most of the games i have played which include DAoC, Ao, WoW, and EQ1 where all fairly easy to play.. PLUS, if you think GW is hard, that is your opinion. NOT MINE.

    well W/E...or warrior for your primary class and elementist for your secondary class......that is what i have as my main character actually...i use pretty much all warrior skills in PvP and use my elementist skills to farm with

    i don't understand why you would want to play an online game, if you're only gonna solo.

    to me there is no logic there. it's like going to a party and just dancing on your own. 'oh i'm soloing'

    ha!

    i think the best thing about this game is the whole team aspect. whether it be PvE or PvP, playing in a team where you have all the neccesary proffessions (warrior or two, monk, elementalist, necro and a ranger for example) this is where the game really shines

    i get the impression that you don't like a challenge, or teaming up. both of these things are central to guild wars
