Don't flame me! It's just my opinion....
I have played for 4-5 weeks now, and have reached lvl 20 but to be frank I have gotten quite bored with it.
I feel I look like a clone and besides combat there is not much left to do. The PvP is pretty cool and yet it feels sort of limited. Im a fan of 1 vs 1 duels and mass large pvp raids, so maybe thats why I feel its lacking?
I just dont think it feels much like a role playing game. there are not any taverens or crafting abillitys or anything remotely social related or community driven, and I think that there is not even much of a community over the game.
Don't get me wrong - It's still a pretty cool game, and it was fun doing the missions and watching cut scenes, but after a while I just feel it has gotten out of steam. I have not really played much, but maybe we can't expect more for a game without a monthly fee?
just my two cents.

Been playing it a month now and I still don't have a single character at lvl 20, but I don't play it as much also. GW really isn't a game that I would play many hours a day, but still it's the game that I mostly play atm or Jedi Academy is the game that I play mostly O.o
GW---> (Ranger/Mesmer)Dark Raziel
i agree, the community is seriously lacking. but then, i didn't expect GW to have a great community. it's not like UO where you can create massive guilds and player run towns with all the role-playing that comes with it.
i would say though, it is easily one of the most fun and pick-up-and-play type of games i've ever played
bonanza!

gotta agree with with ya.....All there is the PvP combat, which is a creative innovation to pvp but still if the role playing expirience is too short....If they made a few adjustment I would give this game a good score, sadly this game is average.....I myself am more into World of Warcraft, try that game out if your tired of Guild Wars....
Freelancer15= Freelancer First on Guild Wars
Its a good game the missions are fun and quests are fun and pvp is awsome.
But they coulda added a few little things to make the game SOO Much better.
So thats why i am waiting for expanshion Pack and maby they will add those few things ..
Guild Wars - Rorick Aurlith E/Mo pumped up with the best armor and weapon, has all his skills, and runes. PvP King!
Dark Age of Camelot - Leaton 50 Vampiir - Lamorak - Guild: Magic and Mayhem!
Addicted much? No wonder you're bored of it. Playing it 24/7 makes it boring. Think of it this way:
You're a fat kid (and I'm not saying you are), but you have the choice of shoving a whole cake down your gut in a gulp or two or eating it slowly and enjoying it.
Think of it that way, and the 1v1 PvP is something I've missed, but heck there's guilds that can war, so I expect that makes up for some of it.
I must have inhaled the cake or something because this game didn't last long at all for me.
im completely adticted , all my free time goes to the game , im level 20 , in hells precepice ...
i dont believe what most of you say .. i simply dont ..
i got there faster then normal for sure , cose i got much help from higher level players.
so im sure i didnt explore half of the big map ...
my quests list as more then 15 quests to make
for me the game , didnt even start ... cose i just made a guild and still only 1 friend is there.
if you think the basic goal of the game is too easy and boring
try to make a 50 person guild .
do you bored guys got the 15k infuzed with supirior runes armor ?
what about the capured elite spells ...
the comunity so far its been great ... i say proudly , i never made a quest or a mission with only hench.

50 person guild? No problem, just invite some ppl, who you don't even know and ask them to invite randomly.
But why make a 50 person guild? It doesn't make the game anymore interesting than it was before.
Hunt materials for the 15k armor? Why again.. it doesn't make the game anymore interesting.
If I was bored of hunting and doing quests all over again, then how come hunting things for the last armor set or trying to find elite spells out of nowhere will make the game interesting...
I'm glad this forum has calmed down a bit. I gave my opinion that it was boring a while back and got my rear toasted!
I play it very casually but that was my intentions with it from the start. So the game hasn't even begun to wear down on me yet.
But I am taking it from everyone that has tore through it completely already it doesn't have much staying power. I will keep going casually so I get my money's worth out of it then.

for me it hasnt gotten boring yet.....maybe need to find a guild that's active in GvG combat and the HoH....cause believe me neither of those ever get repitative.....the random arenas and team arenas can become repitative though.....i have a 20 W/E and a 14 Mo/R...so i'm pretty experienced, been playing for about 2 and a half weeks and the PvE portion has definitely become alil boring but the massive GvG and HoH battles are enough to keep this game going until the 2 new areas are put in sometime in June i believe
Kinda gotta agree with the first poster.
2 lvl 20's (W/E (earth) and Mo/N)
Done every quest and mission in the game.
15k armor isnt worth the time or effort for the gain.
I've got all the runes and weapons I want, plenty of cash.
The main problem with Guild Wars is lack of replayablity. Its the same no matter how many times you play through it. All the stuff (Quests, Npc's, skills) are in the exact same place each and every time.
Basicly its just Diablo3, made by a different company, but with the same employee's.
I played through beta all the way up until today and I'm -not- getting bored with it, which, to me, is the sign of a great game.
Takes a while to get a guy all the way through the game. And in that process, you discover the skills of OTHER people and want to try them out. So when you're done, there's a lot of replayablity in trying other combos of classes.
In fact, to see everything uniquely, you'd want to play all 30 combos of professions.
Not to mention, if you think you've seen everything there is to see in a zone, you probably haven't. Exploration pays off.
Very bored with it, been playing since release and the contents very thin for me. Usually just pvp and thats geting old.
Luckily its free can just quit and come back later.
