May have already been threaded but won't spend the afternoon looking. Here it goes - What are the IPs that you would most like to see made into an MMO? My own wish list follows:
Mechwarrior
Shadowrun
Warhammer 40k:Gothic (ships)
(Game name slipped from my mind but was Western cowboy/horror/steampunk themed. Genre great but mechanics - bad)
Warehouse 13/ Eureka combo
Probably more but you get the idea. Expand your reasons if you like - would appreciate that myself
Edit: Western/Horror game was Deadlands

Pokémon. Reasons? I can't get any other than a childish "it would be awesome!".
The ones I usually see on threads like this
1. Mechwarrior
2. Pokemon
3. Shadowrun
4. Avatar (last airbender)
5. Mass Effect
6. Diablo
7. Halo
8. Grand Theft Auto
9. Red Dead Redemption
Top MMOs: Asheron's Call, Shadowbane, EVE Online, Planetside
Played: Pretty much everything at one point or another

Mass Effect or Battletech (Mechwarrior for you newbs) would be great.
Warner Brothers cartoons. Wile E. Coyote can finally eat the roadrunner, Elmer Fudd could bag Bugs. All armor and weaps would be made by Acme. I really would play that.
Mass Effect
Dragon Age
Firefly
The Elder Scrolls
A Western MMO(Wild West)ideally a mix between the Dollar Trilogy and Brisco County Jr.
Played: SWG-FFXI-EQ2-Aion
Anticipated in order of Hype:
ArcheAge
GW2
TERA
SWTOR
Not enough info, but looks promising:
Blade & Soul
Definetly The Elder Scrolls.
Bethesda needs to wake up, that's a no brainer to me.
The Elder Scrolls series is already at his 5th release (Skyrim) not sure how long it has left as a solo RPG
Its natural development would be to turn it into a MMO.
Blizzard turned an RTS into a MMORPG, I don't understand why Bethesda is scared of turning one of the best RPGs into a MMO.
Also Fallout would make a good MMORPG, but I am not sure Interplay/Masthead will make the IP justice, considering the state of Earthrise.
Same reason DnD and Warhammer didnt do well as a MMO.
changing genre is not as easy as people make it out to be

Naruto.
Baldur's Gate
You seems to forget that DnD and Warhammer are table top games.............The Elder Scroll is already a videogame so there is not the problem of translating the pen and paper concept into pixels
Morrowind (TES 3) is as close as you can get to a sandbox MMORPG, they could start with that concept to develope their MMORPG.
I believe Bethesda would make a much better MMO than Bioware, unfortunately Zenimax (Bethesda owners) won't allow them to develope MMORPGs.
I hope they'll chance their mind.
- Cowboy Bebop
- Mortal Engines
- Pokémon
- Mount&Blade
- Star Trek (STO doesn't count)
- Avernum
Always read the small print.
Western sandbox (makes sense). Capturing cities, headshots are instant kills, horses and other mounts such as wagons...
Takes place not on Earth so that it can steal ideas from Earth without having to make it precise and accurate. First person view and third person view. Sniper rifles.
Also: Since it isn't on Earth, there should be a whole BUNCH of different unique PvE monsters and dungeons. It would be a game balanced between PvE PvP and Crafting. The game will not tailor to one of those crowds, but members of all three.
There won't be any levels or classes, there will be skills to master, but no skills governing the damage of a bullet, as that is pretty static. The game will use detection of damage much like the early Ghost Recon games.
Skills will be from riding horses, building houses and other structures, taming animals such as wolves to use as pets, cooking food, brewing beer, distilling alcohol, alchemy, tailoring, etc.
Something like that.
Whatever IP that is, that is what I would like to see.
Song of Ice and Fire
Babylon 5
Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned.
Dune

Forgotten Realms. Sandbox with some themepark elements. Made in a massive and uninstanced game world.
I think a Xanth MMO would be cool. A Spell for Chameleon was one of my favourite books. Could maybe be a sandbox/exploration MMO. No classes as each character would have their main "talent" and then develop others as they use them. Maybe you could choose to be a barbarian invader? Definitely a lot of interesting species to add in to the game world, one would just have to get used to all the puns Piers Anthony used, lol.
syndicate mmo
The Night's Dawn Trilogy by Peter F. Hamilton... anyone else familiar with this?
Masters of the Universe
Cowboy Bebop / Outlas Star
Bleach
Megaman X
Marvel (alternete universe style , age of apolypes , house of m etc)
Trigun (sci fi western style)
Pokemon
I challenged my reflection to a staring contest....4 days later i won
Heres my list:
Pokemon
Firefly
Naruto
Command & Conquer
Diablo
Starcraft
1. Elder Scrolls (I suspect it's in development at ZeniMax Online and we'll hear about it soon. Maybe at E3.)
2. Firefly
3. Terminator (set in the future not the past)
1. World of Darkness (White Wolf D&D) <-- it's under developement by a kick ass developer!!!!!!
2. Dune
3. Call of the Cthulu (anything based on Lovecraft's horror fiction)
4. Forgotten Realms (shocked no one mentioned this one) <-- it contains Baldur's Gate, Salvatore's Books, Neverwinter Night..
I can't remember any IP that's good and I honestly don't think basing an MMORPG on a successful IP is part of what makes an MMORPG good. You really don't need an IP to make a successful MMORPG the only thing the IP would give you is extra box-sales and that's all. Then it's all up to if you're game is worth playing or not regardless of IP.
