I was wondering if i really have to use the recommended class parryings in Rift. Like, i want to mix necromancer with Stormcaller (and not sure for third class yet). But it isn't recommended. Would i be fail if i took a route like that or is it ok to mix w/e?

mix away. you can buy up to 5 different Roles wich allows you to switch between 5 combinations of any 3 souls.

Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

No you don't. The pairings are a good rough guide to get you started, but you can be a lot more creative when you get all your skill points and you know a bit more about how all the souls work.
Awesome! I am thrilled to hear that ^_^
It's exciting to think of how unique i can make myself
Well, I don't know about becoming unique, but there is certainly room for experimentation. I've seen some crazy builds that I would never think they'd work for their intented purpose, but they did. Empasis on the intented purpose. Since the system gives you the flexibility to change roles on the fly, there is nothing preventing you from specialising in order to tackle different situations with the best build possible. In other words, while you can build an all around good role, you are given the freedom to specialise as much as you want and recall those roles on the fly.
I c. Sounds awesome. Well we will see if my necro/storm mix will work well. Hope it does atleast
The problem with Rift's soul system is a real lack of synergy between the trees. The different schools of magic really keep a lot of trees from working well with each other at all.
Look at the necromancer abilities. They either buff your pet or specific necromancer abilities, or death magic. Stormcaller abilities buff air and water damage. You could make a class of both just fine, you could be a stormcaller with a pet, and there are general purpose abilities like Electrocute or Consumption, but nothing about these trees really enhances the other.
I would look instead to Stormcaller Elementalist. Elementalist has talents that are general purpose. Biting Cold increases the crit chance of all spells. Tempest increases all crit damage. Elementalist has Exposure which increases both Air and Water damage, which would be a very nice bonus to Stormcaller spells.
Warlock is another good general purpose soul with Magical Affinity, Lingering Pain and Potency buffing all trees. The necromancer ability Death's Ally also buffs the warlock Death based spells.
Short answer is yes you can do whatever you want, but you will probably be better off if you look for trees that enhance each other, and not just do different things along side each other.

I believe Rift has to do something about this. I always wanted to make a black/white mage Chloro/warlock but it sucked in terms of the two tree's helping each other.
basically you can do it.. but you'd be nerfing yourself in the process.... and.. its not just mages this applies to tbh.. i've found pretty much the same with Rogue and Warrior souls...
