Don't worry, though. The game has only been out about five weeks. IF NCsoft and Arena.Net are smart.. they'll release a seven day trial in the next few weeks, to coincide with *all* the students being out of the main school year. Of course, this doesn't apply to those in summer school and year round schooling programs. This would at least raise their numbers throughout the summer.
I'd also expect even more new areas to be released around Christmas time, the same time I suspect a preorder for the first GW expansion will become available. After that.. expand the free trials to 14 days, and wipe the slate clean -- I know some companies don't allow another trial to the same email and/or IP.
Keep in mind all of this is just *if* they're smart.
If Gaile Gray is still lurking around these forums I'm sure she'd have a much better answer to your question, and/or possible speculation about when a trial will become available.
yes a demo would be nice. all I want to know if my system can handle the game or not.
I dont trust the "requirements" that is stated. Also wanna see if its anything that would fit my taste.

We get this question a lot and I'm going to see that it is placed in our Knowledge Base more prominently; an email is unnecessary. At this point, we do not have plans for a demo. We had demos for a long time, starting a year ago. In total, we had 8 demo periods, and we made sure we partnered with gaming sites, magazines, and other sources to get the demo into the hands of potential players.
Now, it is obvious that not everyone knew about the demos, some may have not chosen to participate, and clearly the success of Guild Wars (excellent reviews, remarkable sales) has inspired an increased interest in such an offering. However, at this point, we're focused on creating new content and making improvements to the game. This includes the two large new areas that will be unveiled this summer, with all that goes inside them. It also includes updates to existing content (like an expansion of the art for armour) or the rolling in of features we set aside for release -- large things such as Observer Mode and many small things, too.
Will we offer a demo in the future? Perhaps. When we have information -- if we have information -- we will post it immediately on www.guildwars.com and the localized Guild Wars sites. Thanks a lot for your interest

Whats is your system specs? Because all you need is a half decent videocard and a good broadband connection. I started playing GW with a Radeon 9000 pro 128MB and the game ran great at Medium video setting...Now i have a 9600XT 256MB.
a half dead GeForce card... 5600 I think, not 100% sure... Game dont look like much fun tho.

Well in order to know that you must play it first. The first time i played, i didnt enjoy it that much, but once you get the hang of it, you'll find your pleasure...im sure Whats great about the game is that you dont have to play 24/7 to see results in the developpement of your character, so it gives you time to do other stuff in your life
As for your video card...what do you mean by half dead? a 5600 is not that bad but your settings will have to be ajusted.

free trial doesn't really make sense in my opinion. all you have to pay for is the client.
perhaps a demo, allowing you access to only Pre-searing ascalon would make sense

I don't think a trial will come soon. Here is a quote from Gaile Gray.
