so what's the point of this interview?

Why stop reading, then ask what the interview was about? I know it's a super-cool phrase and all, but....
The interview covers a lot of things about the game, not just the Dawn expansion.

Opal: The Short term is to continue to build upon what Dawn implemented, adding things like the full flash UI overhaul, improving the magic system, and alchemy. Also, working on the AI.
So no full flash?
Reading on there is not a whole lot new at all to this "Dawn". In fact it looks like quite a "Yawn".
Seriously I thought this was a revamped MO with new flash, new features. Instead it reads like eating certain types of food will let you into certain types of guilds, that and some new horses....
Oh dear.
Trouble is the Darkfall 2010 looks just as uninspiring. New graphics is not what we need and w new sound scape is hardly the sand we are looking for in our sandbox.
To make things more depressing the only other "hope" Xsyon is turning out to be just a big a let down.
I think I will quit MMOs for a while. I just bought Earthrise and was frankly shocked at how shit it was...
There is always PlanetSide Next but the "next" certainly stands for next year.
what is the point of an interview that has nothing that hans't already been announced and therfore talked about?
shall we talk more about things i already know and have talked about for the last 2 months?
or is this interview all about getting to know what kind of a cool guy Black Opal is?
speculations and promises have been the bulk of what SV has been able to talk about since forever. i dont want speculations and "it's in the long term plans", i want to know what IS coming and WHEN. that's all.
The planned features, and some of the additional ones, have been talked about both here and on the official forum for a long time now.
These are the features for Dawn.
In this DevBlog, it states that there will be some new flash UI features, but not the full flash UI. DevBlog
This information has been out for more than a month. Certainly, the full flash UI will be a welcome addition, but things like trade tools, the task system, the Reserve system, the mount gene system, etc, are also going to have a pretty substantial impact on the game.
